Not sure we are that creative with or without him tbh.Dirk Gently wrote:We're a much better and more creative team without him, because the default option of "lump it forward for Carroll to win in the air" isn't there any more, so the players have to think and try something else.
Also Ehib's all round game is better than Carroll's has been too. He's a bit faster, his ball control is better and he generally holds up the ball more effectively.72 bus wrote:Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan 12 apps 5 goals, goal every 2.4 games

This. Absolute top whole bloke from what I can make out, happy to play the game for the game's sake. Just a shame that the managers he was saddled with here were such utter podheads and couldn't make a system that brought the best out of him, so much more than just a head. Still it's right of Selles to recognise the impossibility of the situation and hopefully Reading will go on to create a forward line with some real threat - for the first time in about 5 years.JR wrote:Right decision, but will always have a place in my Royals heart for that amazing disallowed brace!
Sit deep, defend crosses and then hoof the Carroll will always be remembered as the absolute pits. Agree he could have been so much better if the team had a plan to get the ball wide and put in dangerous crosses.Sutekh wrote:This. Bit of an unfair comparison with Carroll playing for us in the Championship but Kelvin mainly in League 1-there is quite some difference between the two levels.72 bus wrote:Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan 12 apps 5 goals, goal every 2.4 games

Thanks Andy for always trying, in a quite forgettable season, when it looked as though so many didn't.
There's also just a wee bit of difference between their experience.South Coast Royal wrote:Bit of an unfair comparison with Carroll playing for us in the Championship but Kelvin mainly in League 1-there is quite some difference between the two levels.72 bus wrote:Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan 12 apps 5 goals, goal every 2.4 games

I’ll always remember him for the annihilation by Fulham and the world’s best disallowed brace.
Don’t really put that down to him…windermereROYAL wrote:CountryRoyal wrote:It’s a shame his last performance for us was him getting absolutely bullied by some port vale bloke who’s name I don’t know.
