Match - crap
Inflatables - impressive
Casino - fun
Hotel - pretty good
Mahirs (Indian Restaurant in the casino) - excellent
Elvis tribute act in Lady G's - cringeworthy, but OK
Breakfast in the hotel - very good

so everything but the match was good. It's why we go to football, isn't it?

Sarah Star Is this for real or did you just photoshop some pictures of inflatables and hands onto an old photo? :?

It's real

Why would you think otherwise?

The lighting and sizing didn't look quite right... and people mentioned that there weren't many inflatables and that they all ended up down the front with the stewards... plus it's something I'd expect you to do

It's a real picture lol. It was taken straight after the teams came out, before the inflatables made their way onto the pitch. You can see the steward at the bottom readying himself to catch one of the stray beachballs.

Ahhh, what larks.

Feeling a lot better after some sleep and a decent meal.

Genuinely we're a good team lacking direction and drive at the moment. McDermott's done wonders but I really don't like the style he seems to ask the players to go for and we'd be much better off trying to vary our game and play it on the deck with passing players more.

We miss Kebe, with his pace and threat. He'll always look to bring the ball down and play it short or run with it, which makes us less hoofy. In turn Griffin plays better football as they've a good understanding and he's got someone always looking for the ball. So without Kebe you've got Griffin looking for the long ball more. With Mills next to him it means half our defence just put in hopeful punts. And Harte isn't a great deal better. And then of course theres A Fed who is always looking to get an assist.

Kebe in allows McAnuff to play with more freedom as the opposition are struggling with Kebe, and he roams the pitch a bit more getting involved better.

So really I think we're only one or two different personel and a bit of luck or effort away from producing some very good performances again.

Same team with Pearce or Ingimarsson in would probably have won as we'd have had far better possession. Doubly so if Howard had started in place of Hunt. Coventry would never have been given the chance to dominate so ineffectually.

Wycombe Royal Inflatables - impressive

Any clubs ever said what they've done with our inflatables?

I know other fans do it too but none like us. Coventry must be sitting on well over a 100 inflatable rings, animals, loungers, goal posts, cocks etc. in the Ricoh Arena lost property cupboard.

Seems a shame to burst 'em and bin 'em.

(wasn't really worth it's own fred :D )

. 8 wins in a row is beginning to look rather a fluke, but it would be silly to dismiss this team of honest battlers.

LOL at fluking 8 games.

Quite why Noel Hunt remains in the side is a mystery. He offers so little. Apart from one decent header on he was anonymous and barely made any attempt to close down the opposition.

is it something to do with his 8 goals 10 games or or something?

we were already there tbf, the players have just gone through th emotions for the last two games.
will be a different team in the POs

I hope so but it's not as easy as it sounds to just switch off and then back on again like you suggest.

Lets hope the reintroduction of Kebe (fingers crossed) provides the spark the team will need to get back into the swing of things.

My worry is that we showed our good form at a time when the pressure was basically off and the play offs were an outside chance. Since we've been in or around them our performances have dropped off and results have just started to follow as the positive momentum we had dissipated. I hope we just haven't bottled it a bit recently.

I don't agree that we HAVE shown poor form,

We beat a class-filled Leicester side, a class-filled Pompey, a class-filled Forest,
won at Barnsley (not easy) won at Scunthorpe just after they trounced QPR,
and we got 0-0 draws at Leeds and Coventry.

There was just the blip at home to Sheffield.

True we aren't "SPARKLING" and we looked slightly jaded, but that could
easily be put down to players unconsciously saving themselves for the POs
