Ince, Hoilett and Ejaria have little record of substantial goal numbers we can rely on.

Ince has a pretty good goal record for a winger - 82 goals at this level in 327 appearances. You can easily spin that into a much more positive or negative number of course (his record was much better before he joined Stoke), but I don't think it's fair to say he doesn't have a record of scoring a substantial number of goals.

Hoilett's spent 40% of his career playing in the Premier League (and that number is kept low by a couple of loan spells when he was a teenager). 265 games at this level, 40 goals. Again though, bit of a drop off in the last few years (5 in 48). One in ~six isn't amazing but would still get to six or seven in a full season, which would be handy in a relegation scrap. One in ten, granted, would be a let down.

Yeah, I know goals wasn’t the main problem, but 11 and 10 followed by 4 isn't good enough by any stretch..

Stick Tommy Mac in the box for corners all season and I could see him getting 5 or 6 maybe.

If the likes of Hoilett, Ince, Ejaria and Long can get substantial minutes this season, I don't see why each of them couldn't contribute half a dozen goal contributions each minimum really, I'd be relatively disappointed if they don't do that, but that depends on how often they play, injuries, consistency of selection etc.

If we can get some use from corners from defenders then that will help us as well. Got to remember, most teams around us don't have 2 reliable goalscorers that can hit 15+ in a season like we know Meite and Joao could do, fitness depending of course.

Yes, it is really. It was mentioned a couple of months ago that we were looking to sign him and then it transpired that Arsenal wanted to keep him for their Europa League games. JLow is just doing what the media do best but he would be a good addition to the squad.

Yes, it is really. It was mentioned a couple of months ago that we were looking to sign him and then it transpired that Arsenal wanted to keep him for their Europa League games. JLow is just doing what the media do best but he would be a good addition to the squad.

Yeah if it ever came off he seems like a talent with versatility and can play/cover in that coveted AM position that we feel like we need to have some depth in and he would hopefully have a bit of creativity about him. I can see it as one that's dead in the water, as has been said its trying to resurrect something due to a change in circumstance.

Bit confused that we've not seen any of Camara and Dorsett with the first team in preseason.

Camara in particular we had to persuade into signing a new deal and looked fairly comfortable in some cameos last season.

A shame but being as we’ve just signed both on (Dorsett extended) sure they must be in the plans to some extent

Suspect a minor injury of some kind - or was Camara playing some internationals?
