£500k is a good figure for his ability, but he's worth more than that to us given our lack of other options and that we'd absolutely have to sign another centreback surely? Unless McD thought Harte would make excellent back up there...

This is an old rumour that has surfaced during the last three windows. They don't have the money to take Pearce, and if he's playing football here he wont want to go to Sheffield United.
