Interestingly enough, I think Miazga’s contract at Chelsea is also up at the end of the season.

So, Pele and Miazga would be good to sign following their loans, but may not be realistic. Boye and Virginia are instant
so longs for me.
Providing both stay fit I'd offer a new contract to whichever of Blackett and Obita have the best combination of playing most with lowest wage. Thank you, goodbye and good luck to the other and to Gunter, McCleary and Mannone.
I'd offer East a year with an auto extension if he plays 10 league games.
I'd offer Loader 2 years but expect him to leave.
And I'd offer Adam a Player-Coach role, with the emphasis on learning the coaching trade.

I thought that last season but Transfermarkt hadn't updated their info (Not the first time that's caught me out tbh). He's signed an extension until 2022.
I'd be tempted to sign Pele but I suspect the transfer fee rather than the wages would be a sticking point.
Miazga would be worth an approach. I just cant see him getting games at Chelsea.
Boye doesn't offer enough on a consistant basis and Virginia is just way out of his depth.
Mannone and Gunter can go. McCleary, I'm just not sure where he will fit in and get game time.
I'd offer Blackett and Obita new contracts and Charlie Adam a player/coach role.
Danny Loader needs game time at a lower level, not a move to a Premiership academy. I don't think he'll sign anyway so we should cash in.
Ryan East. Just don't know enough about him

It's a shame. Would love to have him here permanently but if he was available on a free I reckon a bigger team would snap him up.

Joao Virginia may be gone this window, Lack of game time would be a good reason for Everton to take him back and send him elsewhere.

A brick laying apprenticeship perhaps. Though maybe not, he'd probably drop the bricks on his feet.

Southwoods an interesting one. The others can all go from that second list

I maybe the only one but if Gunter was to take a paycut and come in line with a reserve RB I would not be disappointed if he signed on for another 2 years. He is good cover to compete with Howe for reserve spot. For the rest would keep Blackett and Obita.
Offer Loader a contract if he doesn’t take it won’t lose any sleep.
Mannone will leave, Gmac has done his time and I wish him all the best in what he does next. Charlie Adam I get the feeling it is his last hurrah and I thank him for it but this will be his last chance in the championship this year.

If we didn't have Howe, yeah no probs with that. But Howe is not going to get much game time whilst Gunter is sitting as back up, so for me, we either decide Howe isn't going to make it and offer that (much) reduced deal, or it's bye to Gunts.
On the second list, I feel a bit sorry for House and Osho, haven't really heard of most of the rest other than the obvious.
Osho really didn't impress me in the summer, which was a surprise after the praise he got on his debut, so do agree he's not really close enough to keep. House hasn't impressed on loan from what I understand and doesn't seem to have stood out in the youth either, plus we have a lot of forwards, so not really room for him

Agreed. He’ll be back in the PL next year.

I am told Baker is back at Chelsea.
Strange he has played his best football at Reading.
Maybe like Ovie he likes to be close to home.
I would have him back in a heartbeat.
To be honest given the available funds wouldn’t be interested in anyone else.

Is that a negative about Boye?

I’d have him back too but he wouldn’t get in the XI at present times and it may further push Rino down the pecking order
Of course though, we’re one bad injury away from having Ryan East as our bench midfield option so perhaps cover is needed in that position. Unless Bowen thinks Olise is mature enough to play a deeper role but from yesterday’s showing, not sure myself at his stage of development

Other option is to give Gunter a one year extension, and send Howe out on loan - he'd get more football that way. It's rare enough for Yiadom to be injured, and you don't take full-backs off after 60 minutes unless you're changing formation. So he'd spend most of the season bench-warming, bar maybe a couple of cup games, which isn't going to help his development.
However, I can't imagine Gunter would want just a single year, especially knowing his football-time would be limited. Certainly not with a massive paycut as well.
