SEB on Loan

by loyalroyal4life » 28 May 2010 11:34

With Fletcher due to sign for Wolves in a bargain 6m deal how about trying to bag our own bargain and get Sylvain Ebanks Blake on loan?

Would be great if he comes here. Has proven over the years that he is a capable goal scorer in this league over the years with Plymouth and Wolves. Think wages may be a problem though.

Could work, I think that there's a friendly relationship between the 2 clubs now (at a board level rather than fan level, I personally can't stand Wolves) following recent deals between the 2 clubs.

Wouldn't surprise me if he came here for first 3 months of the season, would work fairly well for both parties and he could cover himself in glory ahead of the January transfer window

They're rumoured ro be offloading Iwelumo as well aren't they (maybe as part of the deal), so not sure the deal for Fletcher makes Ebanks-Blake any more likely to be available.

I would've like us to be in the race for Iwelumo too, but I don't think that's likely.

Fletcher was a player I wanted us to sign after our first season in the Premiership by the way, he could've been the physical bigger lad upfront that we lacked (even whilst Kitson was about).

Iwelumo is going the other way to Burnley

Really don't see Iwelumo as being any better than what we currently have.

We need a young, hungry fast striker who can hit the net.

SEB wouldn't be available though.

It's more about being different than just better to be honest, but then I'd argue he's better than Long and Rasiak without any problem.

Maybe I should have said they don't have enough strikers of the required quality.

Only Doyle did anything last season for them. SEB was probably their next best.

Who said they wouldn't? But they still need decent backups and their problem last season was they didn't so why would they send their 3rd best striker out on loan (who was their second best striker last season)?
