I detest what happened with Wimbledon but does that really make Pete Winkelman one of the ten worst chairmen? Seems he did and does a pretty good job for MKD. What's more, what he did to Wimbledon was more the fault of the footballing authorities who allowed it to happen - afterall, it was only little old Wimbledon.

And I'm not sure I would be totally peed off if, in return for significant ongoing investment, a chairman wanted to call us Reading Royals FC.

Maybe a tad hypocritical as I'm not a great fan of Chairmen naming stadia after themselves, even if it was 'someone else's idea'!

Tbf to Mr. Mad, he only named the stadium after himself because nobody else was remotely interested in paying for the privilege. Also he stumped up the money to pay for the thing to be built so why not?

I'd be furious. I wasn't happy about the name of the stadium either, but once a thing is named, it shouldn't be changed.

Not sure either of those is actually true.It would take an awful lot to convince me that no company was prepared to pay for stadium naming rights, particularly when there were companies taking pretty prominent advertising space around the stadium.

As for paying for the thing to be built - really? Possibly provided a loan but IIRC there were some really good benefits to be derived from redeveloping the area (bought for a pittance in return for undertaking the redevelopment) including the value of the retail park.

Well start your anger management sessions now because I would reckon it is >95% certain that under new owners the stadium will be renamed. What's more, given the new financial regulations, the owners would be mad not to tap into that revenue source.

That nobhead who was at Palace with the blonde hair. Name escapes me, he was a prick and could of destroyed that club at the end

And Winkleman. I was totally against the MK thing. The day AFC Wimbledon overtake them is a very good day for football. He looks a bit like a psychopath too

Simon Jordan?

A total narcissist but I wouldn't peg him as a particularly bad chairman in the grand scheme of things.
