I know. I'll get better. The transport strikes here will end soon and I should absolutely pay a few hundred quid to get over to a game in Blackpool on a work night. No better use of 2 days annual leave. I certainly wont make the mistake of asking how Reading did when I have the disposable income to travel between countries with just a few weeks notice.

Absolutely shocking choice of pubbery in the vicinity - everywhere shut, was like a ghost town. Pleased with the selection of drinks (and the fact a bar had been built at all) in what was a temporary stand a few years back.

Thought the youngsters played superbly and professionally throughout - Howe impressed especially although could easily have conceded a pen at 0-0. GMac was like the father figure bossing things in a centre mid role. Is it fair to say McCleary is the Rooney of Reading? Not bad for a tenner overall.

As a footnote, I was repulsed at the amount of half and half Man United scarves.

There were a lot of Indian and Chinese takeaways but you’d need local knowledge to know which are the ones to go to.

You know things are shit when the charity shops are shut.

I'd agree with this 100% as far as Oxford getting beat every game in general but It'd be good if they did come up (and we didn't go up) as we really need a feisty derby again.

Do a Rightmove search of houses for sale in Blackpool. Stick in a minimum of 6 bedrooms. It's an eye opener.
