07 May 2016 11:31Perfectly normal to give them the odd opportunity early on before they're ready to genuinely breakthrough.72 bus wrote:Then never saw them againgenome wrote:Sounds exactly the same as Derby last year, where we brought in a few youth players.

07 May 2016 12:45Diamond again with Williams at the tip and Barrett right? or Barrett at the tip and Williams right?genome wrote:Reading starting XI vs Blackburn: Al-Habsi, McCleary, Gunter, Cooper, McShane (c), Quinn, Norwood, Barrett, Williams, Kermorgant, Rakels.
Reading subs vs Blackburn: Bond, Evans, Robson-Kanu, Kuhl, Stacey, Watson, Dickie.
Oof, I was off by one with my team prediction.

He gets criticised for shit tactics and not using the players properly (diamond) and then somehow manages to come up with an even worse systemIan Royal wrote:Diamond again with Williams at the tip and Barrett right? or Barrett at the tip and Williams right?genome wrote:Reading starting XI vs Blackburn: Al-Habsi, McCleary, Gunter, Cooper, McShane (c), Quinn, Norwood, Barrett, Williams, Kermorgant, Rakels.

Think I'd rather Barrett at the tip. More creative and a little less strong defensively.
Oh, apparently 4-4-2 with Quinn left and Barrett right... interesting.
Very young bench. I hope Stacey gets a run out. Dickie is probably just there for experience, you don't sub a CB unless there's an injury.

07 May 2016 12:49Quinn's can certainly play on the left. Barrett is a bit lightweight, but creative so is a decent fit for playing wide. Norwood and Williams as a central two isn't inspiring admittedly. At least by playing with more width we won't get quite so exploited down our flanks and might be able to actually feed Kermorgant the sort of ball he might make something of.blueroyals wrote:The memories of 12/13 are flooding back now.
