No Fixed Abode Interesting to note that since Roman took over we've had 8 managers. The same as Newcastle in that time.

But you've spent in excess of £1b   on a couple of Premierships and FA Cup(s)?

That is woeful.

Well its not really.....

Before he took over Chelsea were just an average Premiership side......since he arrived he's won them the league 3 times and the FA Cup 3 times, the league cup twice and taken them to a Champions League final.

So if Abramovich is that good, why doesn't he don the manager's tracksuit? At least Chelsea show how not to build a legacy. A Club that has been a complete joke since Papa Smurf arrived on the scene. Electrified fences anyone? The only time there was a modicum of decency about that club was when Matthew Harding was on the scene and when Ranieri was the manager. At least when Ranieri was in charge, Chelsea did play some attractive football. Since then they have been functional. If Abramovich is so determined to play the Barcelona way, he could have done so much worse - and has done - by keeping the Tinkerman in employment.

But to Abramovich a billion is just small change.........the fact is, he's spent money and won a hell of a lot - so its not woeful.

And Abramovich would avoid paying certain taxes as it would have been money spent on a loss making business venture.

Former assistant boss Ray Wilkins says the Chelsea players should not be blamed for Villas-Boas's sacking - claiming they are a "delight to work with".

Yes HE did win a lot but still nothing worth £1b IMO, and especially so when he spent that money because he wanted a European Cup!

The Chelsea of old were/are just a bogstandard average Premiership club. If he goes and they don't find a buyer to match RA's wealth, that club is going to go backwards pretty bleedin' sharpish!

I think thats why he wants to find the right manager to change the club, allowing him to sell, but he also doesn't want to do a Liverpool and settle for being an average Premiership side for a few years whilst that happens.

If they could go and win the cup they will guarantee European football next season. City in the next round will be tough though.

When they got that penalty last night they should have let Torres take it tbf.....he won it, he hasn't scored in a while and Mata missed last time.
