WestYorksRoyal Liverpool not playing great and looking pretty unconvincing, but already 5 points clear. Will their performance levels improve? Or will results start to slip?

Been thinking about this. I think 'Liverpool have been poor' is getting over-cooked a bit. Sure, they aren't playing scintillating football for 90 minutes, or even 70. But then that isn't Slot's style anyway, which is much more patient than Klopp's. Their defence has had its 'moments' this season, and that's really been the cause of matches being close. With the exception of the trip to Burnley, they haven't really struggled to break teams down or create chances. 16 goals scored in 7 games. I think reality is that 'not quite their best' is comfortably good enough at the moment.

That all begin said, trips to Palace and Chelsea next two weekends probably their toughest games so far this season. Their rivals better hope they drop points.

May as well drink champagne in between the wars

Just watched the highlights (which can be misleading) and it looked like they battered LFC in the first half. TBF LFC had several good chances themselves. I've seen people make comparisons between Palace and Utd due to using the same formation. There's no way Utd fans would put up with 30% possession regardless of the wins (they say they would but would soon start moaning).

Palace looking pretty decent tbf

Although disappointed that Liverpool lost to their current nemesis Crystal Palace it is definitely good for the game and for football fans in general if one team doesn't just run away with it as happened last season.

Palace have a very settled team and a distinctive way of playing and I suspect that only injuries and lack of squad depth will stop them from finishing higher than they have done for some time.

Good win for Arsenal today results in more pool fans getting their knickers in a twist than Newcastle`s, strange lot they are. debatable VAR calls against both teams but you wouldn`t thought it.
