rabidbee I missed Doyle's goal because an idiot steward wouldn't let me through the correct gangway, but insisted that my seat was 'somewhere down there'. Why don't they get people who at least know their way around the oxf*rd stadium?

There is a large turnover of staff and often stewards have to be brought in by bus from miles away to ensure the correct numbers. That's why!

She was stood in Gangway 'A', and my ticket said Gangway 'A', but she wouldn't let me through. Not rocket science!

Not really an acceptable excuse. Not only is it a waste of time bringing in stewards who don't know there way around but it could also be a safety hazard.

Agreed, I am not making excuses, just saying how it is in the world of stewarding. RFC have brought stewards in from South Wales before now! They may still be doing it.

To be fair, I suspect that they concentrate on training stewards in evactuating the stands in the case of an emergency. The fact that she didn't know where seat 19 was doesn't mean she could direct me to the nearest fire exit.
