The 17 Bus
Forbury Lion
The 17 Bus Agree with Alad here, 60k is nowt really they could go out and earn this figure and just donate it, instead they want others to donate and they get the credit.
Same goes for church jumble sales, people rattling collection tins in the street etc.

Getting £60k that would otherwise have not been given can't be knocked.

But much of it would be given, it however might be given to other causes, especially the corporate stuff, which tends to be used by a Company and pre allocated as an annual expense.
Big companies make donations as a publicity thing, If they're not going to get good PR out of a donation then they're not going to make one.

When the current charity targets have been met I suspect the wags will find another worthy cause to champion - there are plenty out there. Maybe the charities should get in touch.

On a related subject I hope to God none of the Reading WAGS are participating in the latest reality TV offering

According to talksport, two teams of WAGS are going to open and run two competing clothes shops as part of a reality show. The reason it was on talksport is that they are looking for 10 WAGS and only have seven.

And who said TV was dumbing down?
