Dirk Gently Surely the last match in the Championship when we beat QPR. The culmination of a whole season of unbelievable achievement and emotion. Started off with "Raise the Hoops", and the match was full of drama and emotion too.

The tension when Murts was about to take that penalty - and the release when he scored - was amazing. If you're written that in a film script it would have been thrown out for being too cheesy - but somehow we'd all known for a few weeks that exactly that would happen that day.

The sort of day that will live in the mind for ever - when I'm living in a OAPs home, sans teeth, sans hair, I'll still remember every moment of it vividly.

My little boy was traumatised when they all jumped on Kingsley after Murts converted the pen.It took a lot of reassurance because he thought poor Kinsgley was being beaten up(which he was in a nice sort of way)

Three personal Favs:

West Hammering 6-0 - got lots of Wet sham supporting relatives

3-2 against Palace - Kids birthdays, Great win by URRZZ, Potato head had to go off (although he scored) and won £1000 on the golden gamble - great night

1-0 against Port Vale 1976 - my first game, that got me hooked on this godforsaken team.

Quiet significance, probably one of Pardews first away wins. The point RFC turned the corner IMO.

The 1-0 at Bristol Rovers sticks out.

Lots of good games been mentioned already (glad somebody else remembered the 1-1 against Ipswich that for 90 minutes looked like it was going to be the best 0-0 draw you ever saw.)

One that always gets forgotten, but for some reason pops into my mind whenever discussions of 'great games' are taking place, was the 4-0 victory over Wrexham in our first season at the Mad Stad. Skittles scored two penalties (and should have been awarded a third), Brebner got one, and even Parky got one of his rare goals. It was the best performance I saw in that poor season (even better than beating Luton 3-0 in the first game at the stadium), but I suspect it gets forgotten because the very next home game was to Bristol Rovers, and we all know what happened in that one.

Then there was that sequence of matches at the start of the 2000/1 season that went 2-0 (Swindon), 3-3 (Stoke), 4-0 (Brentford), 5-0 (Oldham, during the petrol protests), and 5-1 (Swansea). Some great performances in that lot.

southbank1871 Reading 2-1 Cardiff - This game from a couple of seasons before we went up sticks in my head for some reason. IIRC we were 1-0 at half time and then came back to win 2-1 with Sidwell grabbing the winner.

Definitely one of my favourites, dropping my phone while flying over 3 rows of seats and sticking my hand in someones mouth celebrating the winner.

Another one that sticks out for me is Reading 4-0 Brentford, mainly for the fact I have Brentford supporting cousins and the run of results we had around that time aswell.

Most of the great games seem to have been mentioned.

One that I always remember is back in 1970 when Reading needed to score 2 goals in their last game to get into the next pre-season Watney Cup tournament.

They did quite well and achieved it with ease.

8-0 demolition of Southport .

Wave after wave of Reading attacks. Our forwards were virtually walking the ball into the net at the end.

Great? Probably not............but memorable..... definitely.
