I love how Matejovsky is being blamed for the first goal because he gave away a free-kick in the opposition half :-S

Long punt downfield, didn't win the header, Harper lost his man off the second ball. Goal.

I blame Murty, but, then again I blame Murty for everything from all of our goals conceded and the temperature of my pie at half time - but then again, it leads to two crucial faults of Coppell / Reading at the moment.

1. No half time substitutions in a game we were still in a chance with winning. With Kiston either carrying a virus or looking like he was carrying a virus and with a better Right Back on the bench then it was probably better to do it half time and 1-0 than on the hour and 2-0, wasnt it Steve?

2. Murty MUST be phased out of the team, mustnt he? Oh we havent got any captain candidates have we.........

I expect Hunt to be Captain next season, for me it's between him and Doyle as non of the rest of the team seem to have the right mentality (or don't deserve to be in the team; Murts, Ivar, Gunnar, Bobby etc).

rfc58 Blackburn nowadays are a good example of a club who are a) not a glamour club who have spent wisely with a budget and probable "pulling power" similar to ours, spend a bit more on wages to attract proven players, and are reaping the rewards.

Blackburns wage bill has been £30-35m for the last 4 or so years.

Their revenue has been between £40-45m over the same period.

Coppells loyalty has blighted the team this season -

There is no room for loyalty in selecting players - you need to pick the best 11 to win the game and if that means dropping the favourites then so beit. The key area in our team is central midfield and if it wasnt for injury, Coppell would pick Harper and Gunnarsson every time - weakest midfield duo in premiership by a country mile. They are the door to the forwards and to the defence and far too often its been left wide open - we need a new central midfield that are dynamic, creative and effectively industrious - none of these are Harper and Gunnarsson - Matey could be the first part of this

how many people who say the players deserve no loyalty were moaning about sidwell's lack of loyalty last season I wonder?

Those figures stack up pretty well in my opinion.

so you are bottom of table , probably going to get relegated but because of your loyalty to your players you accept the inevitable and continue to play the same players that got you in the position??

dont see your argument - fans questioned sidwells loyalty - didnt see management doing it though!

I admit to caning Sidwell, partly as i hated seeing one of our top players going, but questioned his loyalty, but a whisper from the club said one of the reasons for him leaving was, he questioned the clubs ambition.

He knew the salary he'd been offered, knew that attracting new players with that salary in mind would make it difficult, and felt the "writing was on the wall"

How true that is i don't know, but when you see what we've done in the transfer market, it may hold some substance.

nope - just saying that fans who call for players to be got rid of because, in their opinion, they aren't up to it any more should perhaps remember that sentiment the next time they are calling a player a greedy oxf*rd for not showing loyalty to the club.
