Gordons Cumming Why are so many nobbers so bl**dy negative?
It really gets on my nerves.
Not all of us. Some of us are big on neutrality, we love the club unconditionally. Staying up or going down.

floyd__streeteIan Royal Hunt is a top player.....Probably the best left winger you'll find outside the real big teams.
Keep telling yourself these things and you end up convincing yourself, if not everyone else.

Oh look - another negative post from mr negative
Your words will haunt you and yes I agree with Ian, I actually believe Hunt would do well at Liverpool who seem to lack a left winger.

in truth Hunt isn't even in the "hard but fair" mould, as he's not the type to fly in with crunching tackles. He's not a ball-winner to any degree. He's more like the stray dog in the park that will scamper around like a maniac and pinch the ball off your toes.Ian Royal He's determined and always willing to have a go, sometimes trying to much. He can get himself in trouble with his aggression, I'd call it hard but generally fair (or at least fair intent)..

It's just been decided by the media, because of the Cech incident, that he's the sort of player that like to go in hard.
By the way, I like him as a player, but I'd be pretty horrified if we paid £6.5 million for a player of his ability. We didn't sell mainly because we'd have had to have gone out an bought a replacement. I also think coppell would have been reluctant to sell to Keane because of Keane's insistence on doing his bidding through the media, presumably to try and unsettle Hunt into wanting a move.

Royal Rother The difference is that the aforementioned all regularly drift out of games, Hunt very rarely does. He keeps going 90 minutes and although he lacks the finesse of the others he is always involved.

TopCatDirk Gently Top Cat - A question for you,- as I've heard a couple of different accounts of this from Sunderland-supporting mates.
When Keano exploded in Steve Coppell's office after the match at the MadStad, was it solely down to the last minute winner, or was it more to do with certain features of Halford's personal life that Keane thinks we should have told him about?
Bit of both. Have to be careful waht I say, as our own message board (http://www.readytogo.net/smb) was shut down for a few days due to certain allegations.
Keane is a pretty level headed guy when it comes to decisions going against us, so can only assume (if the stories are true) that the bust up was down to Halford in some form

He ALLEGEDLY liked to use the odd aspirin on occasion, although I don't believe it. BTW, the use of the word ALLEGEDLY does not make you exempt from legal action.

TopCatRadders Hi TC
Is Stephen Hunt any good? Yes
Is Greg Halford our revenge for John Oster? Yes, although we did slightly better then you out of that one.
Thanks for buying him!
Hopefully we can all thank Charlton for taking him if his loan deal works out. Can't believe we bought Bardsley for £1M less and already he looks 10 times the player.
Is Oster still in the team? He was poor for us, but very rarely played in his favoured position, and was one of the many scapegoats with the supporters.
What are your thoughts in Hunt? Did he want to join us (Big love in with Keane) or was it just to get a better contract with you guys? Didn't you pick him up on a free from Brentfor a couple of years back? £5.5M would have been a hell of a profit!
