madreadingfan I'm in and south stand would be perfect we would be a bit like man city and you have the noisy supporters sitting next to the away fans and singing loudly, when i was at man city they sounded very loud from either side of u!!!

The problem with the South Stand is that the whole of it has to become the away end for FA Cup matches when the away team is entitled to a larger allocation than for PL matches.

If you're talikng about existing STH's moving I should imagine the club won't be too happy about losing single seats around the ground. You probably need to suggest that only 2 or more STH's seats together will be applying to move to stop them using that reason not to agree to it. If they actually cared they should encourage this and advertise it for you.. Don't hold your breath.

Support for the rest of the season.

by biscuitsrus » 07 Apr 2008 14:37

I was listening to Talk Sport radio over the weekend and heard an interesting comment from one of the ex footballer pundits, basically he was saying how much it lifted him when fans sung his name and how much exta it gave to his game.

He concluded that although support the team and manager were all well and good it is the players who need support when maybe their confidence is low.

I think we don't do a bad job supporting RFC but do we do enough for individuals? (Except Murt's).

Can we lift them for the rest of the season, can we ignite Kits and Doyler does Marek suffer because we struggle with his name???

Media talk about every game being a cup final, can we manage to turn the remaining games into OUR cup final's starting against Fulham. Just like the players we need to pick ourselves up after a second half humiliation at the hands of our Geordie supporters.

From USA between the sticks to The Bargain upfront can we make a difference????

Maybe the club could set up a singing area.

It is a very obvious thing...
You don't need some hack to prod you in the direction.

Imagine that your name was chanted in some little ditty?
I guess that at least it would encourage, be it 18, 28 or 38.

It's the same for footballers, the only difference between them and you is their footablling ability.

We chant "USA" why not "Czech" or "Czech Mate"? Most people could manage that.

I think players should sing our names.

We should show our support by having more threads like this.

I'm looking for sensible comments, it is entirely up to you how you support your team.

Oh-oh-oh he's Marek! (to the tune of oh-oh-oh, it's magic). Somebody else will have to come up with a second line, I need a lie down after coming up with that.

If it that obvious is enough of it done in your opinion?

Can we change Doyler's lack of confidence?

It's not going to do any harm is it?
Encouragement fills the boots of everyone on this Planet.
The only thing that will change Kevin Doyle's percieved lack of confidence is a goal.

Next question is, can we make Doyler score???

Does he know that we still love him???????? Can we show him our love????

Whilst I know he has not been the same player this season, I know that he has it in him, SSC does not seem to be able to coax him out of his rut but can we????????

You could write him a letter.

Not type, it has to be handwritten.
