Royal Lady Good persuasive argument there. Well done.
Cheers - I've been developing it for a fair few weeks now...

Archie's penaltyAvon Royal When you rebuild a team you will lose games. That is an unfortunate fact. If we cleared out the dead wood and started to rebuild a team with the spirit and ethic of the team that got promoted then sensible fans would forgive the odd blip.
Who are the dead wood then in your opinion?

Avon RoyalChaney I`m afraid its a problem of having players that don`t actually want to be here.
Spot on.
We have a team full of 2007-2008 Shoreys. No wonder we have an away kit to make us look like traffic cones.

chandog the problem is we haven't rebuilt
the team has been considerably weakened
if we had brought in good replacements for the likes of kitson and little people would be willing to allow the new players time to settle in - unfortunately this has not been the case

In my opinion, in the context of building a team with spirit, hunger and drive:
S Hunt = Dead Wood
Doyle = Dead Wood
Harper = Dead Wood
and it pains me to say it
Coppell = Dead Wood

Surely it's a bit too early to compare Hunt, Harper and Doyle to Shorey?
Give it a couple of weeks...

Royal Lady I thought we were talking about this season - but if you want to talk about yo-yoing, I'd take going up one year and going down another over going down from the Prem and never having the chance to get back up there.

Sarah Star That sounded dire on the radio. I was one of the few who thought Long should start, but he's definitely had his chances now. Bring on Noel Hunt.

Is that what has happened? I thought that we had just lost a few tricky away games.

That is what WILL happen to us, should we continue to not re-invest.
As for Doyle/Hunt etc being "Shoreys" - I think that's unfair. I would like to think that they have the intelligence to realise that playing to their best abilities and getting themselves noticed as good players between now and January, will more likely get them a Prem team coming in for them in January, rather than teams avoiding them like the plague because they're playing rubbish.
