The problem with this statement is that it is against the law - and that is what you and the majority of others at the top of Y25 / Y26 don't seem to understand. Yes the stewards can be a bit overzealous but at the end of the day they are just doing their job. How they go about doing their job is possibly the only valid complaint you could make.

FWIW, I would prefer to stand all game but I also understand that I am not allowed to and so will sit down during quieter moments. As such, I've yet to be taken to one side by a steward and warned about persistent standing. Perhaps you (and others) should read the stadium regulations next time you go to the Madejski so we can avoid yet another thread of this type.

Go and support Fleet Town.

You can stand and sing your heart out there if you want.......and for as long as you want.

Might even create an atmosphere.

Get real matey.

I have sat in the general area of the Y25/26 and I've seen this lot. Persistent standing yes, and most of them are arms crossed and not singing during quieter moments. I shake my head at them.

Do we really need a bunch of kids singing and on their feet all game, the club dont seem to want them, perhaps it is time they grew up a touch.

As an aside if TROLI is standing he cannot be missed, so it seems that it is persistant standing that is taken to task, and rightly so.

but we can say the same about you, we dont really need a bunch of old farts eating their prawn sandwiches not supporting their team, but instead just moan

You can sit down and sing.

You can stand up and eat a prawn sandwich.

Only one of these would actually break the law.

Good to see the stewards doing the decent thing and warning madROFLeadingfan and his wee chums rather than going for the heavy handed option of just chucking them out.

Another example of what a good job they do under rather trying conditions.

Except you can't as I dont go very often anymore.

Abide by the rules, that's life, if you dont like it then tough, don't go.

Why not do something about it and join the safe standing campaigns, or write to your MP with your concerns that you are not allowed to stand, it might make a difference, whereas repeating the same old shite on here is unlikely to.

Exactly whoever it is should be sitting down for most of the game, are they so daft as to think the cameras are not pointed at them and how easy they are to identify and warn??

I say well done to the staff for waiting for them to go down to the concourse, and not warning them in the stand, when all and sundry tend to join in with the abuse to the stewards.

Not wishing to let facts get in the way of your argument, but........

Number of FAPL grounds where a stand or block is given for Standing = 0. None. Zero
Number of Champtionship grounds where a stand or block is given for Stading = 0. None. Zero

Rules/regulations/laws coming out of The Taylor Report made this the case.

Hope this helps?

Fu ck me there we have some sticklers for the rules at Reading don't we?

The rules are bollocks and we all know it, I find it tedious that they exist and as such don't attend much any more (my new born daughter and the cost also factor  ), but its each to their own and if you can put up with wanting to stand but having to sit fair play. Saying that I will be at the Swansea game and will stand if others around me stand. This season I haven't got a ST to lose so I really won't give a toss.
