Last rumours- George Boyd and David Nugent

by mikey0406 » 20 Jan 2009 11:59

After both these forwards as seen by Reading as being both different to what Reading have already

strong rumours from the club that Sir JM is ready to back the club in order to reach the promised land!

Might see a transfer window yet that RFC actually spend some decent money

I'll humour you - in what way does Nugent offer something we don't have already in Doyle?

Nugent can play both Up front and on the right wing, considered quicker than doyle and can hold the ball up better than doyle

Um, Doyle can also play on the right, as against Newcastle last season and he was superb that day.

Pace and holding the ball up? Doyle pisses all over Nugent.

Carry on.

Haven't really seen much of him in the past couple of years. Good player but wouldn't swap Nugent for Doyle to be honest.

doyle has looked off the boil in recent weeks and club are worried about a niggling ankle injury from last season. he needs a break and the club are looking at alternatives

Would be a great signing but I'm not sure we would pay 500k a week!

Odd that they are allowing him to play for Ireland then

I suspect the list of players we've watched in the last year would run into hundreds so keep the names coming....

As you claimed on the other thread that a mate of yours is on the scouting staff at Spurs, what's your excuse this time?

So Doyle's had a niggling injury for, oo, nine months? And we've played him week in week out with said injury, only dropping him for Cups? And now we're worried enough to spend a lot of money on a player who is no better than what we have to cover for him?

Makes sense.
