Is that a joke Ian?

To clarify: this ain't about rumours it's about general thoughts on which players might be good and we could/should sign.

Or you could keep this on the team board and discuss those Watford players you would like to come to Reading.
Might be a pretty short thread though. :D

Not a joke, Looks exactly like gossip and speculation to me, which is the domain of UR&G. In fact I think there may even be a thread on the subject there already.

So the new manager thread belonged there, the shake-up thread belonged there, the coaches thread belongs there.

Any discussion relating to anyone who isn't already a Reading employee belongs there?

Forgive me for thinking this is a "team" board and this - like all the other threads I mention above that rightly haven't been moved - is a (probably very short) discussion on how me might bolster the team.

Which is already being discussed on UR&G. The whole point is was created was so that the Team board wasn't just spammed with speculation about new players we may or may not get. The process of appointing a new manager was very much Team based.

But getting actual team players in isn't? ALOL Classic!

There just needs to be consistency.

Shake-up thread, manager thread, coaches thread to go too.

Anyway I do see the point on not spamming this board with speculation and I will try not to do so just because others have gotten away with it. And I see there's already an active thread there! I shoudl've checked there first, oops!

 Wake up!!

Money like that is not available. Yes yes, can't back it up, no, but you're over optimistic about this whole 'the money is there for the right players' BS the club comes out with. Money is tighter than ever, no way would we spend that amount on one player when 3,4 or 5 are needed.

One of the big attractions with Rodgers is his ability to develop youngsters. Don't expect big spending, it just wont happen. Not this summer certainly.

I've already exposed this and the Head-up-Madman's-Arse crew (I don't mean you Ian mate) who were spouting that "Coppell had millions available for transfers AND wages but chose not to use" it went mysteriously silent, which I find that rather comical.

If that is true, those untouched millions (that we are assured Madejski has always been really wanting to spend but the poor guy didn't have a manager who wanted to take him up on it... aww my heart bleeeds poor old guy...) haven't vanished into thin air and the good news is maybe BR will!!!! I fully expect BR to have huge sums available given we're now only in the champ.

But as history has shown us... that's always been a pipedream. Parj left us because of lack of funds, Burns failed because lack of funds for 2 players he desperately needed (he claimed) etc.. money always has been tight and always will be.

I'm not criticising that though. It's why we're probably still alive as a club.

And it's why Madejski is so rich.

If we can get Ross Jenkins and Priskin then I'll be very happy.

Smith, Priskin and McAnuff would suit me.

McAnuff is an interesting one. Brilliant on his day, untouchable at times. But until Rodgers got there, they hated him. He was a one good game in ten player. Then Rodgers got the best out of him on a weekly basis.

He would be a massive improvement on the bandy legged lump that is Jimmy 'where'd the ball gond' Kebe.

So let me get this right. Rather than letting Rodgers develop our 'one good game in ten' player Kebe into a consistent performer, saving £500K, you'd rather bring McAnuff in?

I'd quite like two quality right wingers, yes. Also bearing in mind the very strong possibility that Stephen Hunt might not be here, and Kebe prefers the left side, what's your problem, bitch?
