Chelsea Links

This is totally speculation. But im really excited about the prospect of the players we could get on loan from Chelsea, Rodgers signed Jack Cork on loan at watford. I would love to see Jack Cork and Scott Sinclair here....

Any other good youngsters we could have on loan...

We're ok for defence and he's appeared in the first team.

Ingimarsson, Pearce, Bikey, Cisse.

Not really. If we want a new centreback I'd want to shift one of those four. Remember we're not a Prem club and the season we went up we had just Sonko and Ivar effectively.

Wouldn't mind seeing Stoch come in, and Kakuta is supposedly the next big thing.

Stoch is a good little player.

To be honest we all thought we were safe last season with 5 centre backs. When we lost 1 or 2,we lost form.

I'd happily take Kakuta and Stoch on loan for a season as we have no wingers currently.

Kebe, Hunt, HRK, Tabb, Henry might disagree.

Tabb's probably better in the middle and Kebe and Hunt aren't up to it unless they rapidly improve. As for HRK and Henry, I'm sure both will get their chance, but we're still weak in those areas.

Once more, our defensive record remained much the same. We stopped scoring becaue our midfield lost form completely and our strikers couldn't make something out of nothing.

Maybe, but is he realistically going to get loaned to a Championship club? I doubt it. And what good is a loanee going to do us. We'll only have to replace him next season anyway.

Why not spend the money where it's needed more? I'd argue Keeper, Winger, Midfield, Right back and Striker are all more urgent than Centreback.

Until we know more that's pretty hard to argue though....

If Bikey leaves and Ivar's injury doesn't respond then we're well under strength at centre back whereas right back isn;t an issue as long as Rosenior stays.

We've got plenty of midfielders, I'd say central midfield is the last place we need to buy.

We've got a couple of decent keepers in Fed and Hamer and I can;t see a huge need to splash money there. Maybe pick up an older keeper on a free as back up but other than that now is the time for Fed to take over.

Striker becomes a problem if Doyle leaves, other than that I can't see much change.

So where we need to strengthen depends on where we lose people, and also on how Rodgers wants to change things.

I am amazed that anyone considers that new keeper is high on the list of priorities. We have more strength in that position than any other; not only do we have Federici and Hamer but a good crop coming through the academy too..
