If Doyle goes, he could be a good replacement, strong, pacy, good in the air, and not a bad finisher either. His knee injury in February could be a concern though, not sure yet how well he will come back from that.

I feel for you.

I refered to one of our Tim's in our office who is black, as "coloured" (a 3rd party was trying to tell them apart)

Whoa. How that opened a can of worms.

well im pretty sure he would rather come to a Club like Reading rather than Sheffield Wednesday. If we did sign him, would be absolutely fantastic

Injury prone, probably expensive and unproven - I'll pass

We've got two excellent strikers (assuming Doyle goes) with some very promising youngsters. No need to break the bank on a striker with a dodgy knee

Maybe loan him in for the season then?

Because is Doyle does go then we will have Nhunt as our best striker...

What's wrong with that?

NHunt is IMO a better player in our team than Doyle and Long was our best player in the last month or so of the season. Doyle's over rated.

The only reason to loan him would be a loan to buy where we have him for a season to check out his fitness etc but I can't see Everton agreeing to that

I do rate NHunt very highly and I think he was a great signing but what I mean is we'll have Nhunt and Long starting and Simon Church on the bench probably. Think we need to bring in another player ( perhaps on loan like Anichebe )

I'm trying to work out who these excellent strikers are. I can think of NHunt who is good and Long who may manage to be consistent enough to be good.
