I'd take Doobs back in heartbeat

Doobs > young Chelsea player unlikely to sign once loan is completed

You've got to be taking the piss?

I'm glad Doobs has finally found his level at Wycombe and long may he stay there.

Ian Royal Snowball is so tiresome I can't even raise the energy to argue with him.

I think I may be ill.

What might there be to argue about?

Nah. Doobs, while not a ball player, is an experienced head who is relatively injury free and would be an excellent squad player for us. Okay, he might not be promotion material, but he would provide magnificent cover. If he re-signed and had to do a 10-game stint, I wouldn't have a problem.

Agreed he could do a job but I think Brendan Rodgers' team is going to be all about ball-players (as you suggest) and he doesn't really fit the bill.

Anyway, Doobs is in his twilight days - he probably wants to get a couple more seasons of regular 1st team football before retirement beckons. I'm sure he will do very well at Wycombe.

There's usually plenty. His useless regurgitation of numbers with little substance. The fact he's trying to argue with someone about Lita's age when they're right.

Hi Knee-Jerk. Mind if I call you JERK for short?

Where do I ARGUE about Lita's age? I simply post his actual age (over 24.5) in response to a vague age of 23-24

He's 26 months older than Shane Long BTW.

Now why don't you knee-jerk to that too? Let's get the season off to a flyer

Just to add to the Long/Lita debate

Long last season

Equaliser against Southampton
Winner against Sheffield Wedesday
2 goals in a 2-2 draw with Charlton
2 goals in a 2-1 againsat Norwich

Six goals that secured 6 points last season

Lita over the past 2 seasons

Final goal in the 89th minute in a 4-0 win v Derby
Final goal in the 89th minute in a 4-0 win v Watford

Yes, Lita is the better footballer than Long but for attitude, determination and impact, I'd take Long any day.

How very clever snowball. Well done.

Please point me to where I have made any knee-jerk reactions about Long or Lita on this thread.

Perspective needed...Lita's not a Reading player any more. That is all.

Snowball Is Lita not (still improving) or at 23/24 is he past it?

He is 25 in December 2009.

Why the need to say when he is 25? He's 24 now, which is how old whoever it was said he is. It's a completely irrelevant statement which appears to be made as an arguement against the thrust of the point the other person is making.

and that's certainly not what I'd class as a knee jerk reaction about Long or Lita.

You couldn't have been designed to irritate me more if someone had spent the last 28 years working on you with that specifically in mind.

Precisely. Which is why we don't need him to resign (though you might argue a case for him to re-sign).

Hello again Jerk. Nobody said he was 24.

Lita only had 1 year's regular football under his belt. Is Lita not (still improving) or at 23/24 is he past it?

I was just specific, exact. He is not 23. He is nearer 25 than 24. Fact.

No argument. Just a clear statement.

Facts always add something to a debate, even if only certainties that are peripheral to the core issues.

(I made that up.)

You are hilarious El Jerko.

You seem to think that mere statements without any evidence
(and false statements and extrapolations made by you without justification)
somehow make you the supreme poster

When in fact you are just a noisy twat.

People have ignored the fact that Lita and Rodgers were seen and heard discussing terms on a new deal....
