Why the f-ck should I need to explain a colloquialism, that I am comfortable with?

I have made it totally clear that I was not referring to a Reading bid anyway, or necessarily our first bid. There were other clubs involved in bidding (see the Watford site)

The problem is YOU, Madame Knee-Jerk. As someone posted in this thread, you seem to analyse every post of mine
"desperate" to find SOMETHING you can find fault with. You're like a nagging wife.

The point of the post was almost nothing to do with Reading FC's offer or offers

if you took the cactus from up your arse you'd realise that

The point was CLEARLY to take the piss out of Sheffield United's 1.8 million offer
when it turned out that they had no actual cash in hand to make the deal

Dirk Gently
Snowball ......As I've said, I'm a professional writer. When I want to be precise (when it matters) I'll be precise
(unless imprecision pisses of Ian Royal. Then, of course, I will be as murky as humanly possible)

I hope you have a professional proof-reader.....

Well-spotted

Yes I do.

But then, why worry about the fine art of careful wording in a place where 95% can't spell
and 99% don't know what punctuation is?

Hey Knee-Jerk at 20:51 you promised to ignore me.

Since then, in 63 minutes you replied directly to me a mere 4 times

Admit it. You're in love with me.

I apologise to everyone except snowball. Who is clearly playing silly word games when the implications in his post is quite clear given two clubs made bids and one was labelled derisory. If there is no implication that one amount in his post is Reading then there is no need to mention derisory at all.

But enough. As I said, I'm sorry I said anything.

I promise to try my best to ignore him to save my health and everyone elses.

Hey, Since I promised to reign myself in I've only entered into reasoned and polite discussion. Yet I'm still receiving abuse as above. Which incidentally, happened the last time I tried to pull back to prevent the board exploding in a snowball vs IR armageddon.

Clearly neither of us is innocent in all this, but at least I'm trying.

That is called passive-aggressive.

See how he talks of being cool, avoiding argument, is the aggrieved party
but still adds in the quiet insult

Not with Southgate at the helm and relying on Lita to spearhead their attack - wasn't Mido a big enough waste of space for them?

Lita when made to feel as if he's the main guy and in a team that creates will score goals at this level. Southgate is a shoddy manager, but even he should see Boro into the top 6 this season.

For risk of getting a silly answer, why not?

I'll be interested to see how Lita gets on at Middlesbrough. He might score a few.

He could get 30 and I wouldn't be upset he's gone. Just not the right fit here. Good luck to him, even if he is a bit of a prick.

I don't understand your attitude. A goalscorer is a goalscorer, no matter what his attitude is. But we had to let him go because we needed to free up some wages. Now we're not sure who is going to score 20 goals, never mind 30, for Reading this season.
