RUMOUR - Fitz Hall

by moo » 25 Jul 2009 13:09

This comes from the same source (financial) that allowed me to break the Martin Butler sale to Rotherham (and exact fee) almost 3 days the deal took place.

Fitz Hall was a player we were linked with when he was back at Oldham, and he looked very strong in the game against QPR at home. Personally i'd prefer Leigertwood as he's the only QPR player I truly rate, but Fitz Hall could/would be a strong addition to the squad and lets see how this develops!

Cue the one size jokes.

We could do with a centreback with experience. Does your "source" say anything about the implications for Bikey?

Is your source mystic (s)meg by any chance?

I would be very happy with this signing

A fair bit of pace, experience, pretty assured on the ball and a good alround centre back who has never quite fulfilled his potential

Very good at this level and would love to see him alongside Pearce

We need to increase the players on our books with their own clothing label, that's for sure.

Scored a couple last season and got sent off in the same game. He's here to replaced Bikey!

He'd certainly slot nicely into our defence. But I guess that you could say the same thing about any other team he might join.

I seem to remember this guy had a funny nickname - it was something like 'One size' or something based on that, as in One size, fitz 'all.

Would be nice to sign him just for that one!

In your case, sir, I would recommend glasses, rather than a coat.

Agreed. Why don't we just pay the stupidly inflated price that's being asked !!

What doesn't help our cause is the fact that every club out there KNOWS we pocketed £6.5m from Wolves for Kevin Doyle. Therefore, as soon as we show any interest in any player, an extra 0 or so goes on the value.

What exactly is over priced in this current climate, Sun Tzu? I mean, the way City and Real have been spending, then the likes of Cardiff on Chopra in this division, even Forest again this summer.

Exactly what is the right price for Hall and Smith in comparison?

What we value them at being worth to us. We're unlikely to get relegated without them, we probably won't get promoted this season with them. So we stick to our guns, get them for our price, or don't pay.
