bigmike Maybe he would like Reading to follow the blue print that David Murray set out ... Spend over the top for foreigners who don't quite make the grade then pay for it years down the line by having to sell your best players to keep your heads above water..

Why do we always sell our best players then? Sidwell, Shorey, Doyle to name but 3. Do we know FOR CERTAIN that we bid £2 million for this Doncaster bloke? Only with Smith, who was valued at £1.8 million we only bid £750k didn't we? Put some Madejski spin on it and "we just missed out on signing £1.8 million player Smith"

Both clubs have announced we're in final discussions and, I think, it's been confirmed that Donny turned down significant bids around £1.5-2m bids for him already. I think that's pretty much confirmation that we've bid the required £2m for him.

get this foreign muck off the RFC board

LOL, i cant believe you are trying to argue that rangers have better players, or a better history, or a fuller trophy cabinet than lowly RFC
when clearly it needs no argument.

the point is, we really dont give a fcuk

I guess it comes down to just how desperate some are for it not to be the case.

You are the one posting on it and have been for 15 minutes, I don't buy this " we don't care attitude". You clearly do or wouldn't have jumped in on a debate which was never to do with you.

In fact, the other dick was the one who raised it in the first place.

But the point of that dick was that you were wanting Reading to spend spend spend, much like what Rangers do. But are Rangers in a good financial state? You came back with a laughable point about the UEFA Cup final which they didn't win.

Dave Kitson

FWIW, whilst Rangers clearly have a better history, both they and Celtic are the worst they've been for about a decade IMO- if we're not as good as them, we're not far off atm.

Is that a dig at me? Only I haven't followed this thread or rumours or newspaper talk, so I was genuinely asking whether we knew for certain that we'd offered £2 million.

Sorry to hear you'll be back at the Madstad btw. How many games will we have to lose before you throw another hissy fit and stay away?

Alol, i believe Mr Coppell will be in attendance at a few games this season.

WR will attend until BR appoints SC as DoF on the departure of his last hate figure squeaky Hammond, who oddly is now seen as OK by WR..

In answer to your question the bid is believed to be in the region of 2 - 2.5 million

It would be quicker and easier to compile a list of who WR does like. On a postage stamp.
