SPECULATION - Hameur Bouazza

by I was there at Elm Park » 24 Aug 2009 11:53

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5510832,00.html Skysports.com understands that Hameur Bouazza is looking to seal a move back to England after he left Turkish club Sivasspor after just one game.

Bouazza, 24, has been linked with a host of clubs over the summer, but he departed Fulham only last week to sign for Sivasspor.

But after playing in their Europa League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk, Bouazza informed Sivasspor that he did not wish to remain in Turkey and they agreed to terminate his contract.

Now Bouazza is heading back to Western Europe and is looking for a move back to England.

It is understood the likes of Preston, Sheffield United and Plymouth are all keen on the Algerian international.

Could be useful player. I'm not sure what type of deal took him to Sivasspor but if it was a loan or free transfer then this is the exact sort of deal that the club should maybe look at.

Good versatile attacking player.

Certainly worth a look as he's better than what we've got, but he isn't going to be the centre forward we're missing.

because currently all 3 teams mentioned must be more attractive prospects than Reading at the moment

Hes played in the Premier league and would want to go back there Preston and Sheffield Utd have more prospects of that than Reading at the moment..

Disagree. To an outsider RFC are a team recently in the PL who just happen to have had a bad start to the season, hence looking for players like him. Granted Sheff U have a good chance of promotion, I wouldn't say the same about Preston, and Plymouth have also been mentioned.

I actually think we're 2-3 players away from being a very good Championship team. Doubt whether we'll get them though

total rubbish, he's not cut it in the premier league, he ovbiously prefers it in the south, and there are 42 games left to go.

Its all down to whether he has the correct DNA for this club.

How is what I said total rubbish????

He has played in the Premiership and I suspect that he would want to play there again.. If not hes not got any ambition ... In which case hes not wanted

ok perhaps total rubbish is a little strong. I disagree that he would only want to go to the premier league, he's been there and not cut it. I also disagree he would not go to Reading as we are still an attractive proposition for players like him.

I personally dont think hes the right fit for this team. I think that the only activity we will get at the moment is a couple of Loan signings and maybe Rasiak

It seems that he isn't quite good enough to hold down a place in a Premiership team and that's why he's available. That's why he was on loan at Birmingham last season.

Does that mean he's never allowed to play at less than Premiership standard because he'll just be showing a lack of ambition.

Did you want Doyle and Bikey to stay? Would they have been showing a lack of ambition (as they presumably did last season)?

You have taken what I have said out of context ... I was saying that he has played in the premiership and he would want to go back there. If he did not he would be showing a lack of ambition.

But why would he want to go back there considering he hasn't been able to get a game in the Premiership since he left Watford.

He spent the whole of last season in the Championship.
