Gone: Harper, Rosenior

In: Howard, O'Dea and Wright.

Am I wright?

Deathy Former Crewe right back?

Just found him on the Ipswich OS

Looks OK - nothing spectacular; only explanation I can have for swapping him for Rosey is that BR thought he needed a better 'defender' rather than someone who is so-so in defence but pretty good going forward.

Rosenior is thought of (incorrectly imo) as one of the top 2/3 right backs outside the Premiership. If he's likely to leave, I doubt it's anything other than about wages. A move to Ipswich is sideways as well, so I don't see it being the player wanting out. Ah, my thoughts anyway.

I'm not sure I'd rate him that highly, but I think you hit the nail on the head about wages. All the premiership players have now gone with the exception of Ingimarsson and Gunnarsson, the latter signed a new contract in the summer and they cant get rid of Ingimarsson at the moment due to injury.

WTF... The deadline closed at 5pm yet we are still unsure what's happening. Why can't loan deals have the same cut off period?

I won't give names of players just in case we miss out and if my source does give me something it's normally in confidence.

I broke the news of Mills as it was due to happen, i knew about a week before but generally don't say anything, although i try and give subtle hints.

I do however know we could have had Matty Taylor and Gary O'Neill if Coppell didn't get cold feet and Jagielka if Everton hadn't come in the 11th hour

Is this supposed to make any of us feel better after today's events?

Just because a deal doesn't come to fruition doesn't mean it wasn't an accurate tip off or bit of info...

Was he not referring to the transfer window dealings (previous 48 hours or so), rather than the summer as a whole?

Harper and Rosenior out (2)
O'dea, Cummings and Howard in (3)
