soggy biscuit Even if they lose they will go into the play offs and will face either Costa Rica or Honduras, most likely Honduras.
I may be wrong but I believe the whole 'will they / won't they qualify' is officially sponsored by Sky Sports as they are showing the game and want as many viewers as possible

Only if Ecuador fail to bit Chile who have already qualify. If Argentina lose and Ecuador win Argentina finish 6th and miss out on even a play-off spot.

FiNeRaIn Argentina will go through, draw tonight. Even if they lose ecuador have chile away and chile are too strong - already qualified.
Arengtina will get someone crap like new zealand in the play-offs should they lose. 32-0 win.

New Zealand have already played the first leg of their play off against Bahrain. 5th place in South America plays 3rd place in the other Americas group which is either Costa Rica or Honduras, Costa Rica are playing the U.S so most likely Honduras.

Barry the bird boggler Argentina will be in South Africa.
For the record though I think its ridiculous that 5 teams from South America get to qualify for every World Cup. Should be 3 plus a play off spot.
Anyone get the feeling this is currently skewed to ensure that however bad they actually ever get, Brazil and Argentina will always qualify?

weybridgewanderer in the same way the rules in europe have recently been changed to help the "bigger" nations that are struggling to qualify, i am sure fifa will do something similar it south america to help argentina
