Well it's pretty much true, isn't it? One of the last things Rodgers did was to try and bring in Gooding, according to reports.
And in Gooding's piece it does shine through that he is very bitter not to be back in.

Judging by things he has said in the past, I think Gooding is still feeling pretty sore about the manner in which he feels Madjeski dealt with him and Quinn when they were the managers.

As such, I'm pretty surprised that he wanted to go back and suffer some more!

Bullivant came in, and to be honest was not up to the job... then Madman opened his wallet, threw millions at a load of Scottish players and we were relegated. I insist if it wasnt for Pardew taking over the season he did, we would have been relegated to the bottom tier. Then Madman got tight.
