Maybe that figure came from those accountants who managed to show (all legal and within standard accounting practice, of course) our excellently well run club suddenly making massive losses, thus necessitating us getting rid of virtually all of our decent players.
RB in showing total lack of a clue about RFC shock.....
How's park football looking ?
What an odious little man.
You really do suffer from Little Man's disease big time don't you?!!
If you have achieved something for yourself, why do you have such a need to big yourself up by making out that you are so in the know about what goes on at Reading Football Club? I suspect those that you suck up to find you somewhat amusing and, of course, it's always good to have some loyal mug at your beck and call when you need a few errands running.
I had the misfortune of meeting you at the auction at Elm Park many years ago, and even back then you had already perfected the art of pompously talking down to anyone who didn't share the same views as you. I have to say that age has clearly polished that skill even further.
I very much doubt that you really have any reliable information about what goes on about the scenes at RFC and are just fed little titbits of spin by your 'contacts' (who probably aren't that high up anyway) to keep you happy. You think you are in the know but in truth you are probably even more clueless than me. And at least I have had, and still have, close exposure to some very good business people to know exactly how they can make things look the way they desire to the outside world.
So, given your position of relative knowledge or ignorance (delete as applicable) perhaps you would care to try and reconcile the glaring inconsistencies between a) a superbly run business, a model envied by others and one many are keen to copy (and presumably a business that had all possible eventualities, including relegation, covered in their world class business plan) and b) one that despite still receiving parachute payments and significantly reducing wages immediately upon relegation, suddenly has to hit the panic button and absolutely decimate its squad in order, we are told, to survive?
As for park football (and also academy level at another club) I have to say it appears far more open and honest than that I see at certain clubs within the Championship.
