Pseud O'Nym Assuming we're allowed to. Weren't Ipswich refused permission to bring in an emergency keeper in December, on the grounds that they already had two fit keepers on their books? I believe we have no less than seven fit strikers on our books already.

We are allowed to, the difference back in December was that the loan window was shut and so it really was an 'emergency' as opposed to just a loan called an emergency.

We can still sign players on short term 3 month loans (aka emergency loans) even though the 'transfer window' is shut. This can be done up until the old transfer deadline of the third Thursday in March or whatever it is.

So far it's got to be McAnuff. Sig second. Recent dip in form aside, McAnuff has been consistently the biggest creative force in the side. Without him in the team we would be staring down the barrel right now.

Please don't bother mentioning Long. If he keeps up his form for the rest of the season then maybe. But then this was supposed to be a thread about "playing of the season so far." :|

It most certainly isn't player of the season so far, at least as far as I can see. But who is looking like they will be strong contenders at the time it comes to vote.

Griffin's claim is getting stronger and stronger. Superb again today - although probably at fault for their first goal.

McAnuff
McAnuff
McAnuff
or at a push McAnuff

Only other possible contender who even comes close would be MAnuff

Sig for runner up.
