Great to see we're still on the look out to boost the squad. Would be easy for us to sit back after the run of results we've had. Doesn't look good for rasiak or Thorvaldsson, seems bizarre we brought Thorvaldsson in after brendy left and Macca D obviously doesn't rate him.

McDermott had been scouting him for something like 3/4 years and recommended him to Brendan.

Thor has not played much football in the last year or so but unfortunately won't get match fit unless he plays games so it's a vicious circle.

Would be interesting to know if the Mackail-Smith thing would have been a short term loan or with a view to permanent giving us Long, Church, Rasiak, Hunt,
Thor, Bignall, HRK, Mooney and M-S as strikers on our books.

It would have to be a short term loan - 93 days at best as we are outside the window - as it happens that would take it to the summer.

I would guess that as Peterboro have said no then there is no such clause in place or they still feel they can escape.

Thought Thor's looked very bright in the few glimpses I've caught. But Mackail-Smith would be an excellent steal...

If, after being 5-0, McD still prefers to bring on Robson-Kanu instead of letting Thor have a bit of a run out, it indicates to me that McD doesn't actually rate Thor much. He sits on the bench every week and he's never brought on.

But Thor's only on loan. It's probably better for one of our Academy products and prospect for the future gets a run-out in a confidence-boosting win.

Yeah, but as far as I'm aware, he hasn't started Thor and I think he came on for 10 mins once as a sub - so why bother taking him on loan. And he could have taken Khishnivilli or however you spell it, or Bertrand off and put someone else on, because they're "only" on loan too. :|

Posh have now made him avaliable, must have had a fall out with Gannon.

Certainly would give us another option, different to what we already have.

Iwelumo was a big one to miss imo.

If our other strikers are performing he's going to be used as cover unless he's a million times better than them.

Started a game with Long a while back. From the highlights it looked like Thor ran the show and Long missed chance after chance. Thor dropped, Long starts scoring.

HRK seems to be McD's preference late on upfront to stretch things with his pace. Game was over as a spectacle so not sure how much Thor would have got out of coming on. I wanted him on with 30 minutes or so to go as a priority, but hey ho.

We'll have to wait and see.
