W&E 2-0 up just after half-time at Yate, you'd think that's game over - that will mean 19 points clear of Totton and unbeaten after 30 games.

AFC Totton's game postponed yet again which means, with 5 games in hand, they have to squeeze in more than 2 games a week until the rest of the season.

Royal Rother Bishops Cleeve now have 20 games to squeeze in before the end of the season on 24th April.

... a bit nearer home - Badshot Lea in the Combined Counties Premier have two more than Bps Cleeve to 'cram in', [11 of which are @ home] notwithstanding a few Cups that I'm sure they are still involved with ....

... whats more they'll have to try and do this around their landlords Farnborough - who themselves have 16 games left [8 @ home] as well as League & County Cups.

My guess is they may have to start playing matches elsewhere or switch home advantage to use their opponents grounds - something which has happened before down at this STEP.

There's an even worse situation developed at Haringey Borough nr 'Tottingham'. Neither they, nor their 'lodgers' Sporting London e Benfica in the Spartan South Midlands League, were able to play at home for well over three months!
The surface at their Coles Park ground is notoriously suspect even after light rainfall.
Haringey were unable to play a home game between 24/10 and 13/02 - they also have 20 games left 11 @ home and have been scheduled to play 5 games on their pitch in the 9 days starting this Tuesday!
SLeB in the division below have 13 home games left - their last home league game played was the 23rd SEPTEMBER!

Unsurprisingly they have been told in no uncertain terms by the League Commitee that they cannot groundshare next season and Haringey cannot have 'lodgers'

Not sure if these are what you are after but they have a 'Reserve' side in the Wessex Combination Two - currently 6th out of 12.

http://full-time.thefa.com/ProcessPublicSelect.do?psSelectedSeason=8579869&psSelectedDivision=1470714&psSelectedCompetition=0&psSelectedLeague=274386

.... there are also 'A' and 'B' sides playng under that name in the Basingstoke and District Leagues - don't know if they are all part 'n parcel of the same club - I suspect they may be.

You may find what you want from here:-

Good Luck searching!

Considering the numbers on here who have a vested interest in non-league football, has anyone thought about setting up a meet at a particular game?

Cambridge v Oxford tonight - I am quite looking forward to it. I haven't seen the conference since I watched Rushden and Diamonds' promotion season.

There is nothing like Reading doing well to give me a broadfer interest in all football!

It's really really bad. You should go to Histon or Grays to find out what 'non league' really is.

I will be at Didcot v Nuneaton tonight, gr8 win for Diddy saturday but they will get rinsed tonight, woeful at home and Nuneaton one of the better sides.

Should be a good crowd in. Basingstoke just cannot win at home at the moment. Season fallen away.

Indeed. Hopefully crowd will be around 1000 which would be great for BTFC. Sadly, can't see the result going their way.

Hugo, keep an eye out for Newport's Chris Todd. Absolute legend. TUFC centre half who has gone there, bounced back from leaukaemia.

Cheers for the heads up AP - Not a bad player at all, although in fairness he had very little to deal with from Basers. Bryant, the youngster on loan from RFC, was taken off at that half-time as he just wasn't having any impact other than one decent turn and shot. That said, he hardly had much supply as the ball was constantly just lumped up to him for him to run on to which wasn't happening.

Crowd 'only' 646. :| - I think my 'Exiles' supporting mate went but he HAS just this week moved to Mortimer - so it was on his doorstep.

Elsewhere - briefly -

.. Beavers draw 1-1 with Havant
.. Staines win 2-1 @ Weymuff
.. Poor result for Maidenhead on Monday night L0-1 @ Worcester
.. Reading Town win 4-1 @ Ardley; Almonds also win away by the same score @ Kidlington.
.. Binfield win 3-1 @ Malmesbury
.. Wantage held by Flackwell.
.. Wokingham & E drew 1-1 @ Henley

... I would have posted the Southern league results too but the 'Zamaretto' site is having a strop this PM and won't show them! :x

Maybe later.....

HEADS UP - for those who were considering going to Scours THIS Saturday (6th)
... can't confirm anything yet BUT it appears Highmoor/IBIS are supposed to be playing a Reading Senior Cup Tie @ Scours KO 14:00 vs Flackwell Heath.
If this is the case, it must put the forthcoming RTFC v Shrivvy game in doubt, I 'd have thought? :?
The Shrivenham website IS NOT showing their League match at Scours as a forthcoming fixture now?
I'll investigate further and report back. Nothing showing up on the Official fixture site yet. I'd be surprised if this competition takes priority over an Hellenic Premier Game - it's not exactly 'County Level'?

Didcot 1 Nuneaton Town 1

Didcot's only meaningful effort came in the 90th minute with a 25 yard free kick which hit the angle of post and bar and went in for the equaliser, genius goal.

Nuneaton to be fair look a really tidy outfit, very strong going forward and only Diddy's keeper and some last gasp defending kept them in the game.

Sad news was their kitman died at their ground prior to the team leaving for the match last night, the game was delayed 10mins at the start, credit to the Nuneaton team for playing as well as they did in the circumstances.

Sack off the idea of watching glorified park football at RTFC and alleyoop down to Loop Meadow Saturday, the leaders Farnborough are in town.

Some other positive news is the governing body have backed Didcot's request for funding to build a new seated stand behind the goal that backs onto Ladygrove park. So the fencing is being taken away in the next day or so, a load of cement dumped there, and by all accounts they reckon it will all be completed by the end of the month. Good and welcome news for the club.

Bracknell 0-7 AFC Hayes

And that more or less removes any last vestige of hope for survival in the Southern League for Bracknell.

AFC Hayes are the team "just" above Bracknell in the table and are a good bet to also be relegated so just goes to show how utterly hopeless Bracknell are at Step 4 this season. Their problems stem from the fact they have absolutely no money even in terms of comparison to other sides at Step 4 and many at Step 5 and so are basically fielding young, inexperienced players and players who just aren't up to that level of football.

So next season Bracknell will drop to Step 5 and, most likely, the Hellenic league where they could well be playing their new tenants Wokingham & Embrook as well as nearer neighbours Binfield. No doubt it will be another season of struggle for them as well!

Just for the record they've won 1 and lost 24 of their 25 league games this season. In a way it is so annoying that they managed that one win as it rather spoils their record.
