When the average Reading fan gets a lot of their views from TD's outbursts that the problems start - like at the star of the season when many supporters believed the finance figures that he came up with - and which bore no resemblance to fact.

Unfortunately, as we saw with BR in early December, he's getting afflicted by the same desire that many journalists fall prey to. He wants to make the news, not just report what happens.

'greed on the finances. his rants at the start of the season directly resulted in the booing of madjeski and all the "where has all the money gone"ing

regarding making the news, i feel he did a good job in asking what the fans wanted to know, and it was hardly his fault that BR went off on one.

Which in turn, resulted in the club publishing figures to appease said dissenters, so no harm done there.

TD is a Grade A twat who knows marginally more about football than he does about finance...........................Mick Gooding could do a better job on his own!!!

Terminal Boardom
Man Friday I was driving home from Leeds on Saturday afternoon and was listening to the whole of the first half (and the build up) on BBC Radio Sheffield. From the sound of it Reading completely dominated the first half. The commentator seemed to really rate Reading.

Interestingly (to me, anyway), they spoke about Reading as a "big team".

BTW, the commentary was far superior to ours [although the co-commentators (ex Wednesday players) were abysmal]. Opposite to us where the commentator is awful but the co is very good.

Very interesting that Tim Dellor divides opinion so much. I, for one, enjoy his commentaries. He pretty much calls it as he sees it. I wonder if the antipathy towards him is nothing short of snobbery. Just because he went to Bradfield College does not necessarily make him a cock! And his wife is not too shabby either ;-)

I think Tim Dellor IS a cock and that has nothing to do with what school he went to or his up bringing.......I just feel he talks shite!

Anyone who makes football commentary on the radio sound like a Radio 2 chat show is all bad in my book. Can't fckin' stand him.

I quite like the commentating on 107 myself. It was better when Gilkes did the summarising though, he was just so wonderfully enthusiastic.

I rather like the Tim Dellor coverage, good to have a reporter with passion about his local club,he always does have an opinion and that is a strength really.Balance that with Mick Goodings knowledge and its a good partnership

What one of their players thought of it.

Nothing earth-shatteringly revealing, but interesting nonetheless - as are the comments afterwards.

I didn't think much of it, didn't seem to give us any credit for ripping them apart.

Doesn't that usually happen though? People associated with one club - fans, players etc - tend to look at their own performance rather than how well/badly the opposition played.

I came off at half-time. We were 2-0 down at that stage, so the manager needed to change things around to try to get us back in the game. He could probably have taken anyone off the pitch at that time. He could have pulled the names out of a hat

FFS take some responsibility man

you were taken off cos you were awful, accept it, deal with it, put it right

He's not going to admit he was the worst on the pitch.
