Yet this thread is about Barcelona so I won't be talking any further about Rangers, I accept that there is a lot of people here obsessed with them, probably because Reading don't have true rivals or have a historical Identity, no need to feel insecure by that.

Back to the topic at hand, its ok for Barcelona to riot as they play good football.

They're only obsessed with Rangers whenever you post, much in the same way they're obsessed with Chelsea whenever Kes posts. You know what I mean.

FiNeRaIn
Silver Fox So they have got scum fans and political agendas then?

All the SpL titles in the world don't enhance claims to the size of a club BTW

Reading have scum fans in places, all clubs have an element.

I don't remember Rangers fans attacking a middlesbrough supporters bus full of disabled fans. :D

That's a little unfair. Some of the people on that bus were not severely handicapped, it is tricky to tell a twitchy reflex from a provocative hand gesture and the wheelchairs were not visible from the windows.

FiNeRaIn So if anyone remembers the Inter game we had Barcelona fans setting off fire alarms in inters team hotel, police trying to arrest eto'o for taxes, sprinklers turned on to soak the inter players celebrating getting to the final, not to mention on the field diving.

Now, during their own title celebrations there was rioting on the streets with 150 injured and over 100 arrested. Who does this? When you've won too..

http://itn.co.uk/095db65f9c055f50caa9ed779b2ba38b.html

Why do people still insist on supporting them as their Spanish club? They are a nasty little club with scum fans, political agendas ( separatist groups) and arrogant oxf*rd of players.

Millwall > Barcelona.

I understand the point you're making but, not all Barca players endorse Catalanism, WSC reports Puyol and Xavi have spoken out as being "anti-Catalanistas".

Their (Barca's) popularity has to come from a historical perspective, in that they represent a region subjugated by Franco, making them easy to like from a liberal point of view. Clearly there are Basque clubs which can also claim this, but the shopping isn't as good in Bilbao. I also think that's about the players - liking Cruyff and Maradona and Kubala and Ronaldinho and big fat Ronnie Koeman is easier than liking Hierro.

In regards to foreign imports - Barcelona have had the most lavish overall since the 70's.
Zidane, Hugo Sanchez, Ronaldo, Stelike are the ones that I can remember for Real mind.

I'm talking about lavish - I don't place any of those in the same league, in that list, perhaps Roberto Carlos for footballing reasons and Beckham for non-footballing reasons.

Still, Barcelona has had the better imports over all, but Di Stefano and Puskas fans might disagree.

FiNeRaIn Reading don't have true rivals or have a historical Identity

You talk absolute sh*t, are you really in such need of attention? People only have an obsession with Rangers thanks to your demonstrative attitude on threads like these, casting your no-doubt expert eye over the support of other clubs whilst glorifying in the sectarian bullsh*t which the small-minded Glaswegian clubs revel in.

Barcelona = a members run club whose pride in the jersey means they do not resort to corporate shirt sponsorship, several billions times > Rangers = a club run by masons and sponsored by chav lager brewers Carling.

^ I can do fishing too.

Poor fishing I might add.

I like how you ignored my previous reply over those shocking mills salutes in the presence of women and children, far worse than a Red hand of ulster salute. Typical Reading fans, hypocrites and failure to see their own faults as usual.

If you thought floyd's fishing was poor then well done on setting the bar substantially lower !!

I think a show of petulance ranks somewhat lower than gestures supposedly in support of terrorists.

Bullsh*t. A jocular gesture making light of a flash-in-the-pan incident is just as bad as immersing oneself in Northern Irish politics week-in week-out at football?

Still, as you contiually demonstrate, you have some very peculiar ideas anyway:

Good scenes indeed.

Clearly a pisstake, but don't let that get in the way of your period rage.

Little children don't want to see a middle finger salute, neither do women. Disgraceful scenes which im sure mills cringed at. Typical reading support again, never their fault.

To be fair most people didn;t see it, almost everyone said he was wrong (including the player and his manager) and it was a one off.

Whereas years of backing drug dealing terrorist scum is something i suspect we'll never see any Rangers fans expressing any regret over.....

Yes yes, very good - awww it was only a pisstake when a lame point is pulled apart 8) . Nothing personal Finerain, you're always one of the very best posters on Hob Nob when you engage brain rather than prejudice. Some very peculiar ideas, like, but vive la difference I suppose (I've probably upset Spacey now :| ) and I happen to find peculiar ideas rather fascinating anyway. I do wish you'd get over your inherent disappointment with the culture of RFC as a club; a small, family club based in its community, if you want glory at least you have your lame SPL option to fall back on* 8) .

*Fishing. I have been to an SPL game at Ibrox and have a friend who is a Copland Upper season ticket holder. Good, proud club and as Rangers fan I'd recommend to you the stadium tour which is very personal and absolutely fascinating.

You wouldn't know what Rangers fans express though would you...you've just simply read a few papers from the early 90's.
