Big Foot Lahm played very well, some good attacking play on show from the Nazis
That's a pretty disgusting thing to say, I expect better even from you.

Ark Royal Khedira was impressive today, but Ozil was just out of this world. The Germans do not need to play this well to get out of this group and the World Cup is littered with teams that have pissed the group stage and peaked too soon. Notwithstanding that, the most impressive display to date.

10539.4 Miles Away Amazing performance by the Germans and a much needed wake up call over here that the Socceroos aren't actually that good and if your back line has an average age of 33 chances are you are going to get a new hole torn.
Australolia.

LOLz at Aussie fielding Craig Moore and Warren Neill in the back four. Did he not to play for Rangers in 1922? Has there ever been two slower defenders out of a wheelchair?

Rasiak would have terrified this defence.

FiNeRaIn Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry and Cole are all recognized as top european players, Germany don't really have anyone of that calibre at club level who is that effective in the champions league - ballack isn't even there, possibly lahm. Its a mentality issue and the Germans are one million times stronger than we are. If we finished second and they win their group we get them in the next round don't we?

FiNeRaIn lol bringing on a 5th striker to get him a goal too haha

The basis of the side is the older heads that are still fit and a U-21 side that has been somewhat impressive over the last few years. I didn't notice if they had KieBling on the bench - he's like a muscular Peter Crouch. Useful weapon to have.
The two Turks and Mueller were superb - and they're, what, 23, 21 and 21.
The little fellah that came on at the end looked about 12 though.

MaguireT.R.O.L.I. Whilst it was a very impressive performance from Germany, how often does a team that comes flying out of the blocks in a tournament end up running out of steam? Remember Argentina's demolition of a team in 2006 (think it was 6-0).
Probably clutching at straws but you never know...
Serbia and Montenegro I think - watched it on my work laptop IIRC
I don't think a big win is ever a bad thing really but I'd reserve judgement on Germany - that's there easiest game of the tournament out of the way. Played very well though.

World Cup 2002
Germany 8-0 Saudi Arabia
Final position, Runner up losing 2-0 to Brazil minus inspirational Ballack who was suspended for the final.

Not done to shabby in the world cup either
