On a free, we need CB cover he is better than Pearce and will involve...NO Transfer fee, has bags of championship experience......why not?

Would rather use some of the money from the Marek transfer on Zurab than have him. Really don't rate him!

Yeah, right like some of the Marek fee is going to be used on anything else other than this 4 million pound deficit

Oh and yes I'd rather have Kinfisherwilly than Lackofmerit

on a free and with his experience, i'd take him, but only if the club really wont stump up the cash for whats his face at blackburn. i don't think we can really be too fussy if money is a tight as it sounds.

DeMerit = meh.

Rather have Pearce in the team than him. At least he's our "meh" player. If we're making a centreback signing it has to be better than Ivar.

I have always rated De Merit and see him as a good signing for RFC with wages a potential problem.

Why would wages be a problem?

I wouldn't sign him as he's 30, I would rather sign someone younger.

No Thank you. If we are really desperate have him for 12months as reserve and then release him.

If he's still available it would suggest that either he and his agent have a very high opinion of his services, that he's injured or that he's just crap.

I could have sworn I read he had been snapped up by a league One team a few weeks back, bu apparantly not.

To be fair he is not that great, but would still walk into our side.

Quite possibly the case. He had an OK World Cup from what I remember though, and didn't look injured. He's always been a pretty steady and reliable Championship standard defender in my eyes so personally I'd also rule out the being crap bit too.

He could just be holding out for the right offer as the window comes to a close, but maybe as the window closes they'll be more realistic about his demands (if that's whats stopping anyone signing him up).

A million miles better than Pearce, however he left Watford to get a better deal, so I doubt we have the funds to pay his wages.

If we got him and maybe Rosenior on pay as you play deals once they've realised noone wants them on proper contracts I'd be happier about our defensive cover and Bryn and Taylor might get a game in their natural positions...

Scarface - Watford couldn't afford to offer him a new deal so no wonder he left for a better deal, because hed have had to play for free if he stayed.
