Maguire It was an okay goal.
Look good, Argentina, although i'm cursing selecting Klose for my FF team instead of Higuain.

Silver Fox The argies seem to be pretty good for a team that will do nothing because the coach is a nutjob

Leaving top drawer players like Cambiasso and Zanetti at home will soon show when the chips are down. Not to mention what Maradona will do when things go even slightly agaisnt them.

The reason they've been left out is because Zanetti, the former captain, told the players to ignore Maradona during a qualifying game. Cambiasso is another senior player who was said to be in on it.
I'm sure they'd be there otherwise.

Thomas L'Heureux In the two second round matches thus far there have been eight goals in total, so hopefully the tournament is actually livening up a bit.
Having said that, Nigeria v Greece doesn't sound like much of a humdinger.

RoyalChicagoFC Several minutes after the fact, ESPN showed Higuain in an offside position for his second, when Messi dink'd the rebound of his first shot that had been kick'saved by the SoKo 'keeper --be watch'n for that
Just before then, I'd been saying in my superdooperkickass FB live match thread that the South Koreans were up against the do-we-go-for-a-point (or more)-here-or-settle-for-losing-narrowly dilemma peculiar to this sort of competition format wherein GD can end up meaning everything (and they're already three points to the good)
