Speculation - Myles Weston

by Big Foot » 05 Sep 2010 23:17

Watched Brentford vs Sheff Wed today and was impressed with this lad. He's a 22 year old pacey left winger who was very comfortable at both bringing the ball forward and taking on the opposition.

Looked good cutting inside as well as going down the line - decent replacement should McAnuff get sold?

No better than Bignall/HRK IMO. Plenty of pace, not a lot else.

Its not " Speculation" either.

Perhaps we could set up a " Fan Recommendation" forum? Where we can advise our scouts who we'd like them to take a look at.

Speculated that he'd be a decent replacement should McAnuff leave

Spillane looked half decent going forward as well. But he did make a suicidal defensive error that should have led to a Sheffield Wednesday goal. But being League One that mistake went unpunished.

I'm a regular at Griffin Park and I have to tell you that he's not worth it. Blows hot and cold, only seemed good yesterday as he knew the cameras were on him. Goes missing all too often in games.

Reminds me of happier times when you could still get a burger and chips and have decent change from a fiver. That and the smell of the overcooked onions slightly masking the stench of urine from the back fo the South Bank.

I really, REALLY, miss Elm Park.

I still dream we're playing there. My heart sinks when I wake up and find it's just a dream.

I used to love that when I was a boy and in to my early teens, I really love football grounds in built up areas with terrace housing I think that's one of the reasons I like it when we get a chance to play most London based clubs away. Sadly leaves you with little room to improve or expand though and Elm park as much as I loved it just wasn't suitable any more.

I know the feeling, though being younger I have now been to more games at the Madstad, it's a sad state of affairs. I can't imagine say Swindon being fond of The County Ground, but you' know... How do Oxford beel about theirs?

Got the assist for Brentford's goal last night, got felled for the penalty which they unfortunately missed and then cleared a header from Jagielka off the line

Once again was at that match, he actually had a good game! On that form he could play at a higher level, but he needs to show it a lot more consistently.
