Sorry, please carry on making bollox, unjustified, untrue statements.

Its alright, I know I cant win. You've never seen Adam Rooney play.

I wasn't discussing Rooney. I was discussing your dismissal of a very decent CCC player

I didnt dismiss Hunt. I said he'd hardly set the world alight as the original poster had thought as Hunt was "good" in his eyes and that Rooney would be similar, which I dont agree with.

sorry, but i really like hunt.

solid on the ball, and far and away our most natural finisher. would be better still if is wasn't for his injury. good work rate and passionate about playing. could do with a lot more players like him in the team

Hunt, WITH his injury, matched and out-scored Doyle in the season they played together

18 Goals from 074 shots (1 in 4) playing 3,510 Minutes, A GOAL EVERY 195 Minutes Doyle
22 Goals from 112 shots (1 in 5) playing 3,510 Minutes, A GOAL EVERY 165 Minutes HUNT

No, the above didn't happen because Hunt played a lot less games. Doyle played 1.75 times Hunt's minutes

Hunt actually played as below but was clearly more prolific

13 Goals from 64 shots (1 in 5) playing 2,035 Minutes, A GOAL EVERY 165 Minutes HUNT 32-32

If he is truly over his injury and can reach optimum playing fitness, we have a very, VERY good player

So how has Hunt not engineered himself a multi-million £ Premier Deal then?

Be fair Andy, he has been injured for pretty much an entire season. He's got an excellent scoring record for us... not gonna a get a big move to the Prem but he's only not a big star for us because of his injury and being overshadowed by a real Prem player in Doyle during his first season here.

or Bothroyd
or Kebe
or Ben Turner
or Taraabt

or 20-30 other players who could probably do a great job.

"The 21-year-old joined Tottenham from RC Lens in 2007 for £3m" and will have made "multi-millions" in his three years at Spurs. Sounds like a "multi-million £ deal" right there, Snowball.

AGree said it from the start, the guy needs to be playing from the onset and he will score goals which he has proven thus far.

Love his work ethic and he can certainly finish!
