i take the view that since my opinion has no actual effect on games, you are better off by just trying to see the good in things, being positive, and believing that good things can/will happen.
the result isnt effected either way, but doing it my way, you feel so much happier in the lead up to being proven wrong, and when you are right, its just yet another plus point to add to lifes jam-packed pro's column.

your way- you spend the lead up to the game moaning and negative, expecting oxf*rd all. if it happens-woohoo you were right, you got oxf*rd all.
and if you were wrong, the victory is tainted by the fact youve proven yourself to be a moaning negetive grumpus.
