Kebe to Newcastle

by Focher » 07 Jan 2011 15:59

A good friend of mine who now lives in America but resides from Wallsend has e mailed to ask how good he really is as Pardew desperately wants him at Newcastle.

He has no previous on reliability so can't really judge if its horse shit or not :|

My friend is the global footwear director for a very very well know sportwear company, and knows a hell of a lot of people.

In all seriousness the fact he has e mailed me is true, and considering ive not heard from him for about 4 months gives him little reason to wind me up or bullshit me. Pardew did say he wanted quick dynamic wingers, and on his game Kebe is that.

If not this month then the summer, we will lose Kebe next. Got to keep the club afloat..

Pardew as also on the TV saying how Bentley, as a player who was excellent at getting consistently good crosses into the box, was exactly the type of player that would be valuable to Newcastle.

I'm not sure Kebe is in the same mould let alone the same class if that's where they're supposedly looking.

It would not surprise me if a number of clubs are looking at Kebe BUT a/ we don't have to sell him and b/ being interested does not mean they will make an offer in any case.

Bentley's going to Bummingham isn't he?

Anyway until this is confirmed on wikileaks I won't believe it.

Whether we HAVE to sell him is irrelevant.
If Kebe's agent gets whiff of transfer commission, he will start whispering in Jimmy's ear about Premier League wages.
If you shake the tree a little, sometimes the apples fall off by themselves.

It's also worth noting that Heston has a negligible transfer budget. Sell Kebe, promote HRK/Antonio, strengthen elsewhere.

Much as I love Kebe, I could live with selling him to get a top striker
and promoting Antonio who I think might become very good indeed.

But I wish Mr Mad would just pay out 27 Million for a really really top striker
on say 100K a week, and stop messing about.

I don't think they take Lira in Italy any more.

Yeah, let's sell Kebe so we can buy Bradley Wright-Phillips.

That cant be correct, as we seem to have signed BWP and Kebe has not gone yet, so the money must be there for BWP, regardless of the doubts over money, would love 3 signings before more left, IMHO there will be people like Kebe going, but only if the right offer comes along.

Love Kebe to attract a big fee, £3m area, as once again it would show how well SC was at getting players in.

I'd prefer it if the Kebster didn't go...

Although he's been less effective since his injury... can't remember what formation we played last season when he was on fire... but could a return to 4-4-2 be making him play a touch deeper and stick to the wing more to put crosses in, rather than cutting inside and wriggling his way into the box, which is what seemed to make him so effective.
