No Fixed Abode The free coaches were to soften the blow of only getting 2,800 tickets. Anyone can see that!

I can just see the clubs thinking now. They realise they might not have got enough tickets so they offer free travel which would obviously increase demand...........

Keep fishing......

brendywendy tickets on sale on the day for last years HOME QF Vs villa

So how many went then? 2,800? 3,800? or more like 20,000?

I know it's a stupid comparison, but it's the one you made.

when assessing how many tickets we would sell for an Away QF Vs premiere league opposition.
id guess its probably sensible to compare to the home QF we played against prem opposittion the previous year, yes.

My theory is that RFC are supplying Brendy with all the crack he wants to be an apologist for the club.

brendywendy The decision to take only 2800 was purely financial, as admitted by the club. Maybe the £14K they're prepared to pay out on free coaches would have been better spent on (possibly unsold) tickets.

so they made the decision that it would be better to reward the truly loyal, with free coach transport, than pay out that money on unsold tickets for the benefit of less loyal. i just cant really see a problem with that.

I was truly loyal for 27 years Brendy, unfortunately circumstances now dictate that I can be only loyal, as you put it. fully appreciated I wouldn't get a ticket once I knew we only had 2,800 but while I thought we may get 5,800 I was optimistic.
it would have just been nice to still feel appreciated by the club.

we had no money while we were at Elm Park and only had small crowds in comparison but I can never remember the club not wanting to take as many fans as they could wherever we went.

unfortunately this is just another case of money killing the game for the fan![/quote]

that quote isnt something i said, its a quote from someone else, quoted in a post of mine

If anyone from the club reads this - if we get to the semi final, we will be able to sell 30,000 tickets even though our home attendances are way below this figure and we've only sold 170 for Ipswich away.

Just trust me on this.

LOL @ personal vendetta. I'm complaining about this and I complained about ST renewals. If the club didn't treat us like mugs, they would be no need for anyone to criticise them.

Last time we played in London at the weekend was against Palace though and we only took around 1500 there.

RobRoyal
brendywendy neither- its not my argument- i have nothing invested in t, and no interest in "winning" the argument at all.
im just saying what do you want the club to do about your situation? organise personal transport? give special dispensation to exiled royals? buy an extra couple of thousand tickets on the off chance that you decide to turn up for this game?

The last one. I'm pretty sure we've covered that elsewhere in the thread, but just to recap: we don't think the club bought enough tickets.

yes well done.

my point is they decided that we may not sell further tickets and decided not to risk it. that turned out to be wrong.
but the decision was made on the available info, and for the right reasons.so im not going to spend days moaning about it.rather i shall accept that i didnt have enough points, so i couldnt go.or if its that important that i may want to spend days moaning about it- ill just go and sit in the home end.

maybe ill get a bit miffed at the city people not keeping some seats back in case we asked for more, but i can also accept theyve done that for their own well thought out reasons.

Prior to ST renewal debacle, what have I moaned about? And it's my prerogative to complain if I'm not happy with something. Rather than kow-towing to the powers that be.

I see the humour by-pass operation went well....

i myself this very week wrote a sternly worded post on this very forum saying that the noodles on sale at half time have reduced significantly in quality.

If the club had got 6000 tickets and they all sold out there would still be people moaning about it on here.. Saying the usual the club dont value us. The club should have got more.

BOOOOO HOOOOO

Yes its a shame that not everyone could get a ticket but to be fair like all events that sell out there are always people that fail to get a ticket ... get over yourselves
