Royal Lady Probably because the majority appear to have got tickets in the Home ends. If it all kicks off on Sunday, be prepared for much more moaning!

Z175brendywendy now i understand peoples frustrations, (though i dont really understand teh frustrations of those who got their tickets tbf)and i understand that its clear now we should have asked for more tickets here, and that many loyal fans will miss out-though not if its actually very important to them cos theyd just go and sit in the home end
but the above three statements are all pretty much made up personal hyperbole.
you dont know any of that, and until you do, its a bit daft getting all riled up about it.
Brendy i think the people who were most worried were those who were so desperate that they managed to get tickets. I'm still annoyed about having to stay up till after midnight and fight online for them on a Monday night.
Also going to watch such a crucial game and not being able to cheer on your side is a massive turn off. Its not all about the football - you can get a much better view on ESPN than you can from citys lower tier by the way! Its about the songs and tribalism and being proud to represent your little club against a club that typify all thats wrong with football. (Not their fans though who surely deserve the billions but the lieks of Ballotelli etc). If you sit in the home end you miss out on a lot.

Para Handybrendywendy no you dont know, thats my point.
you cant sell tickets to an away game on monday, when you dont know who your oponents would be.
what i assume stopped them selling on thursday was they were waiting for the tickets to be in the ticket office to give top the people handing over their money- why that decision was made, or by whom is again just speculation.
admittedly a fulsome statement from the club may have reduced the ammount of speculation about. ill happily criticise the club on that.
Booo club BOOOOO
Sigh. Point me to where I've said that they could start selling tickets on Monday. I'm pointing out that the club knew that they were in the next round either at City or Villa on Monday.
City were selling tickets by Wednesday. If RFC really needed to have the tickets available in the ticket office before they could start selling them then, as mentioned previously, they could surely have got them couriered down. What about all the other days that were available to them. Friday, Saturday and Sunday to spell it out for you.
I'm guessing we are going to have to disagree on the points banding especially as you seem to keep losing sight of that particular point.
As for the Boo club BOOO comment. That's laughable. I've been following the club for a lot of years and will hopefully continue to do so. Doesn't stop me criticising something that I think is wrong.

Agreed. I've twice sat in the Eastlands home stand sitting with a friend and had a pretty underwhelming time. To see the away support going mental at Lita's double and not being able to join in was gutting. The most special thing about this game for me was the prospect of sitting amongst 4000 or more travelling Royals for the first time in ages.

Royal Lady Bendy - shirley (hope you don't mind me calling you that) even if we didn't know if we or the other game would go to a replay, we could still make decisions on how many tickets we'd ask for?
Tuesday night game - xxx amount
Sunday afternoon game - xxx amount and then when we knew who and when we were playing, we asked for the number of tickets in accordance with what we'd pre-planned.

i dont know- it sounds like we were asked to ask for our alocation before any of that was known, and i have no idea whether there was an option that was dependant on what day it was played. nor do you.
and of course you can call me shirley

Para Handy Brendy, I'm not trying to argue about whether they should have asked for more tickets. I'm arguing about the points banding.
Here's the bit from the official site for you..
"City took the decision to quickly go on sale and made seats available in surrounding areas immediately after their own match with Aston Villa"
My previous post should have said RFC knew they were in the next round on Tuesday not Monday btw.

Well, I'm afraid, to me, it appears that no-one was capable of making any proper decisions. Before the Everton game, we knew that if we won, we'd be playing one of two teams, so how we didn't plan for every conceivable permutation with regards to who we were playing and how many tickets we thought we might ask for, I really don't know.

floyd__streete I think that the club could turn the dome into a concentration camp and Brendy would still defend RFC.
