Who's not going to Wemberlee?

by Man Friday » 21 May 2011 10:50

Anyone not going on 30th May? e.g. out of the country working, on holiday (abroad obviously), in prison, etc?

I booked a holiday (East Med cruise) 3 months ago when we were 12th. I don't expect (or want) any sympathy. It serves me right. A true supporter always believes. I've let myself down badly, and my family.

Add your name here and your reason. We can call it "The List of Shame".

Have they got Sky on board?

You've been a silly billy, haven't you?

Certainly have.

Don't think they've got Sky on the ship (Royal Caribbean). Trying to find out but with no success so far. We're docking at Messina, Sicily, on the day of the match. Desperately trying to find a "British/Irish pub" there. Think I have. It's all a bit of a downer but hey ho it's only a football match. .

They must have some kind of Internet cafe thing there. You could watch the whole drama unfurl on iraq goals or something...

I did this royal caribbean cruise last month and there is no sky onboard. In some areas you can pick up sky news. Internet onboard is very expensive. We were in Messina but I didn't notice any British or Irish pubs but it seems you have managed to find one. Good luck on finding the match showing somewhere and enjoy the cruise.

Many thanks. I've come to the conclusion that taking a laptop is the best option.

Thanks. I wasn't entirely sure what the Sky Sports situation was. It's helpful to know.

voyeur I'm not going. Much better to watch it down the pub as I get to watch you all cry when we inevitably lose.
who's going to cry?

A FA Cup quarter final and a play-off final out of nothing

Even if e lose 8-0 I will be a happy old hector

It could be the following Monday before I find out the score!!!

Shades of 95. February 1995 and first wife wanted a long weekend in Germany so I said no problem provided the Spring bank Holiday was kept clear. What did the stupid tart do? Book flights for the bank holiday weekend. I went to the play off final and she went to Germany.

I'm not but I am OK with that - will probably go to my local in my colours and have a few beers. Superb effort from all that are going - hope you have a great day!
