Mr Angry Flippin' heck Snowball; do you spend your waking hours trawling back through posts made 6 months ago, trying to find things to have a go at people over????

This is a football fans message board and forum, not Hansard!

No. I was looking for a post of mine where I said we'd score more goals without Gylfi
and I broke it down into who would score the goals etc. Spotted some lame predictions
like Long will never cut it at this level, McAnuff and Kebe aren't good enough, Harte
is a joke, etc etc.

If a poster posts such strong statements, why SHOULDN'T we point them out when they turn out to be ridiculous?

Harpers So Solid Crew Agreed, edited as I looked back, that was in reply to a post in Sep 2009, when most would have said that Kebe was not all that effective, and McAnuff had not started a game for RFC.

Agreed. That's why I deleted the posts.

I was looking for something else and that post had been bumped. Thought it was much more recent.

Because it really doesn't matter; its an internet message forum. People post rubbish all the time; I do, you do, everyone does. Thats the way of the World. Someone simply digging stuff out posted months ago simply to go at the person "Look - you were wrong" says far more about the person doing the digging than the person who made the post 6 months, 18 months, 5 years earlier.

Just let it go, and enjoy the ride.

(That having been said, WHEN we extend the ground to 40K I WILL be digging out Schards' old posts on the subject!!!   )

Some people have the good grace to drop something once they've been shown to have had their faith rewarded and it's been widely acknowledged. After a brief bit of friendly ribbing of those who got it wrong of course.

Others no class or grace and keep banging on and trying to embarrass people for weeks on end needlessly.

Well if he hadn't been banging the same drum again because we were 14th a month or two ago I wouldn't have said a word.

One light hearted comment, slightly different to reviving a dozen threads.

I'm sure Schards is absolutely delighted, despite having been shown to be utterly wrong about us having poor attacking options and being destined for mid-table medicrity without a change at the top.

He over-reacted, but he had justifiable if overly pesimistic concerns.

Time to drop this IMO.

We do have poor attacking options tbh :| . Goalkeeper makes an absolute hash of the first, kicking it against Long who then scores a pen to probably conclude his goalscoring account for us before he is sold in the summer. The third is finished nicely by a midfielder. None of this makes the likes of Hunt, Church and Manset look particularly like outstanding options.

Indeed, Hunt, Manset, Church, Robson-Kanu is totally inadequate and, from the sound of it, it won't be strengthened.

Not much point in having a great marquee signing striker without any creativity from the rest of the team.

Kebe is good when he wants to know but Ledge and Karacan don't do enough in the final 3rd. As for McNotGoodAnuff - he really isn't as good as People say he is. Fannies around on the ball too much and his end product is poor.
