Gordons Cumming
Sir Dodger Royal Listen boy in many ways you are agreeing with Sir Dodger. I am what they call a Totally Well Adviser Teamster and having been a supporter of RFC for the past 58 years I consider I am more than qualified to give an opinion.

So when you are qualified to be a TWAT then join the Club.

Real Facts in the Real World from the main mannnnnnnnnn

I think I've died and gone to Heaven.

Has SDR called himself a twat?

He's been hacked surely.

We've lost four in a row, he should be on better form than this.

PEARCEY Can't see Legs being dropped. Possibly Karacan though with Howard coming back into the side. Howard's range of passing is better than both Legs and Karacan. I'd put him back in.

Not after tuesday's showing mate- Howard is finished as a Reading player and will hopefully be out the door alongside Tabb, M Williams and Church before September

Sir Dodger Royal It's all very well signing Alf but he is a goal hanger and nothing else. At present RFC are just not creating any thing in midfield. They are desparate for a creative midlfielder. Kebe is past his best and Leigertwood is a passenger.

On present form Reading are hurtling towards relegation. Limited investment and the players have lost interest. Things are dour and we should be thrashing teams like Hull who had no form what so ever. Get it sorted Donut. Four on the spin is a disgrace.

But then when you only spend peanuts you are lucky to get monkeys. Even Southampton offered £4 million for a player this season whilst the Royal sell Long and Mills for £10 million and spend just £1.1million.

What a joke outfit.

This is becoming so BORING!!!! Every season one or two defeats and it's all doom and gloom...change the record!!!! And no, I am quite happy with the Championship so it's not all about the Premiership for me. Will that cigar go bang at some point SDR just like in the b&w films???

I'm a big supporter of Howard, but he's not getting in the side any time soon after his display against Charlton, powderpuff describes his performance there bar one well struck (right footed!) shot.

At one point it all looked great with Church bursting through the middle and Howard on the ball... Excellent, I thought, a through ball coming which is exactly what Church likes. Nope, he dinks it over the top when Church has a big lump of a centreback on either side of him and the goalie's rushing out. No facking chance.

Unfortunately so do the opposing team and fans as the ball usually ends up going out for a goal kick.

People are moaning were not creating, we have created loads this season. Now we have ALF we have someone who in theory can finish them. Stop oxf*rd moaning, Reading are always slow starters. Not how you start its how finish.

I've never responded to any of Dodger's threads, I always thought he was a WUM but I guess I can revise that, the guy's got a sense of humour. (Unless his account has been hacked by Tredder - Nah! That couldn't happen could it?)

BTW - I am also very slightly worried about Leigertwood's performances since the play-off final.

He's got to be able to have some confidence in the four behind him though hasn't he? Maybe once Gorrks is settled in he'll improve.

Just pointing out that your original point was wrong. This wasn't how we built a squad that went on to win the championship. That year we started with a stronger team than the one that finished the previous season. This year we are much weaker.

in hindsight.
but at the time we'd just gone out and brought in a load of other teams free rejects, and couple of nobodys from cork, and an unproven but prolific striker from a lower league.

Not quite true either brendy.

The starting eleven from the Championship team was the 04-05 team with the addition of Lita for £1m. As backup (but key players long term) we also bought in Gunnarsson for c. £400k, Doyle for peanuts and a few frees in Hunt, Makin and Oster.

The strength of the 05-06 team was that we'd spent a few years putting that side togethers and they were a well oiled team. Even Sonko had played about 30 games for us the year before.

SDR never quite got over the fact that Reading refused to buy his boyfriend, Gary Alexander.

Thing is, as under SSC, there is no Plan B. The key to our success over the last 6-7 years has been to play with pace and width. When we are stopped from doing this what is the alternative? The only option for now is to drop Griffin and Harte and to play with Cummings and Mills. Both are more mobile and should provide more support going forward than the current crumblies do.

If we do decide to ditch the Plan A then, and only then, can Howard be considered for a regular starting slot.

As things stand, we are too predictable and do not have anything in the locker to surprise anyone. Even that dick-head Claridge recognises that we prefer to attack wide  A bit of mystery needs to be found but I don't see how this can be done at this time.

Now there's a name from the past. Most RTGs will have never heard of him but SDR seems to recall that even Jack didn't last long. About three years with no success but the football was pretty.

Real Factssssssss

SDR your points are valid . But what do you really think should happen. The club is well run ,But short on investment. A case in point , Mansell when he screwed promotion , Waller lost intererest tried to sell the club to the Oxford chairman twelve years later. Toal lack of investment . Where can Reading go .Premier yes with a bit of vision.
