So my predction is that after the match there'll be a heated debate abouyt what is "banter" and what is "homophobic" - and a few people being contacted by the club/police over their actions today.

Is there really something offensive about "does your boyfriend know you're hear?"

maybe the boyfriend is deaf, which makes the chant a little insensitive.

It would be political correctness gone madder than mad if this light hearted chant was considered homophobic and punished whilst songs about stabbing Swindon fans (also in jest) were allowed to continue, particularly if sung to a female Brighton fan! Perhaps "does your boyfriend know you're here" chant should be discouraged, but not by punishment.

Still, it's not the most ridiculous thing I've heard - I recall Crystal Palace fans accusing us of Racism when we sang "shit on the floor" at Selhurst Park to a player who happened to be black...er we sing that to all Shit players who go down like a sack of potatoes, not just the black ones

FTR - I never join in with the stabbing Swindon line of that song.
